These can have ls chassis failure causing the tapes to jam in the set. Can be repaired under $200 in most cases. Larry's Electronics 916-362-8708 [email protected]
I\'ve got a Sony DCR-HC28E Camcorder power switch off position but it's turn on automatic when I put power AC adaptor in DC inlet and battery not charg
while the eject process is trying to happen remove the battery and replace it. keep initiating the eject process and removing the battery and it should finally eject. If you attempt to use the camera again put in a new tape so you don't lose a tape that contains footage you may want to save.
If you open the eject thingy like normal then look for a small white plastic tap. its located right underneath the "start/stop" text you see on the back end of the camera (where the record-button is). You´ll need something like a small screwdriver or similar. Press it and and the tape ejects like normal. Worked for me. Saved me the repair bill :)
that's my problem too. I'm going to try the solutions for the "remove tape" problem when trying to record--use dry head cleaner and the other options, check out that thread,
possible pinch roller problem. The pinch roller rubs against the capstan motor to pull out of the cassette .This pinch roller seems to fall completely or loose causing the error. The other possiblity is that the capstan motor is not turning ..might need repair..
sad to say that the problem of your camera is the timing gear is already damage....it need to disassembly the camera to fix the timing gear....go to the qualified service center for fixing or replacing the timing gear..
Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
