Question about Freezers

I have a Whirlpook refrigerator, about 6 - 8 years

I have a Whirlpook refrigerator, about 6 to 8 years old - icemaker stopped working after I removed ice cube holder to remove old ice. Is the ice-maker frozen - how do I thaw it out ?
What can you suggest I do to get the darned thing to start making ice again ? The rest of the fridge is working fine, as is the freezer.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Try a quick fix by useing a blow dryer to thaw around the water tube and ice maker. Also for good measure>>>
Is your circulating fan working?
Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed

Why is icemaker not working
Good Morning Friend,

I understand the ice maker is not working in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FPHG2399PF. Please follow these steps to resolution:

    1)Make sure the ice maker power switch is on. This button is located on the ice maker itself.

    2)Make sure there is not a small cube caught in the ice maker itself. If there is, carefully remove it.

    3)Check your water filter. Water filters should be changed roughly every 6-8 months. Also make sure your water filter is seated correctly. Try taking out the filter and re-installing it. Listen for 2 clicks and make sure it is flush with the water filter housing.

    I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.

I have a Samsung RF267 and the icemaker door is continually opening and closing. I recycled the power, removed the ice container, and ran the crushed ice but it is still cycling. Any suggestions?
using again and again it is faulty,you should checked the cooling matchine with all parts.

What would cause an intermittent buzzer noise from a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator? It otherwise works fine.
That's the icemaker cycling.Ifya don't have water connected,it's still think'n its filling trays and dumping frozen cubes and all that stuff.Turn off the icemaker.Rigger said that.C-YAAaaaaaaaaaaaa

The icemaker has a thermostat built-in that calls for water from the water valve at a certain temperature. Ideally, the freezer temperature should be around 0 to 10 degrees. Ice production, depending on temperature, should initiate around 6 to 8 hours later (assuming that the door remains closed most of the time).

Icemaker makes shells. Outside is frozen but
Hollow cubes are caused by not having enough water in the ice mold. Fill it up manually by pouring water in it and see how the cubes turn out.
look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water. + is more water.


Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

There is a screen filter before the water inlet valve in the water line. It can get partially stopped up with sediment blocking water flow.

GE side by side refrig/freezer Mod. TFH24JWTA WH. Ice maker stopped working, stop/start wire is down (on). Get water through the door, but not sure if it goes to the ice maker. Ice maker is empty of water....
usually yes if no water to icemaker could be water valve solenoid. . first you can remove cover on icemaker and put the unit thru a test mode. find the plastic or medal cam in center of icemaker head when cover is removed., theis is a flateblade screw center get a small screwdriver and turn screw counterclockwise for about a 1/4 of a turn , icemaker will start cycling if icemaker ok then it will go througha cycle let it do its thing usually a few minutes for it to cycle, if fills you may have a bad icemaker, if no fill then valve may be bad. make sure you have good water pressure from your water supply that can cause icemaker problems.

Water to icemaker won't stop flowing (even with refrigerator unplugged!!). Either water inlet valve or icemaker...but not sure...anyone seen this happen? Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

How to hook up water line from sink to icemaker.
You have to put a T between the cold water valve and the faucet, then run a plastic or copper line to the refrigerator(the size could vary from 1/4' to 3/8", you have to look at the water valve in the bottom back of the refrigerator).

Frigidaire not cooling & freezing cold enough
We ahve a two year old Frrigidaire Freezer. every year same time it seems to correct itself(?), like self defrosting etc, and takes a long time come back to its cooling level. This is made in brazil G series. Please help.
