Setup cannot find Excel.en-us\ExcelLR.cab.

Hi Ana,

You might have a corrupt installation of Microsoft Office Professional 2007.
Please do the following to resolve this issue:
Download and run the Microsoft Office 2007 uninstaller from this link:
http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9669698
Click "yes" to all the prompts, and restart the computer if prompted.
After the above has been done, try to install Office 2007 again.

Please let me know the outcome.

I cannot open .docx and xlsx files.

The files extensions you have listed, .docx and .xlsx, are files that have been created using the Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 suite of programs. Specifically .docx is a Microsoft Word document, and .xlsx is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You will have to have either of the Microsoft Office programs mentioned, or you can also use the Open Office suite of programs. This is a free program that you can download at the following website:

Message when installing : Set up cannot find Publisher.en-us\PubLBR.cab

OK. Firstly, let me recommend that you do not buy software anymore...

TIP: DOWNLOAD THEM FOR PHREE!!!

If it cannot find the file, it means that your CD is either bad or that spot is scratched where the Publisher.en-us\PubLBR.cab is located...

MICROSOFT

This may have happened if you use some desktop clean up utillity.

To work around this problem, you have to provide the original installation source files.

For example, use one of the following procedures when you receive the error message:
• Insert the original Office 2003 program CD that you used to install Office 2003, and then click OK.

• Click Browse, locate the Office 2003 program installation folder on the network, and then click OK.
