You might have a corrupt installation of Microsoft Office Professional 2007. Please do the following to resolve this issue: Download and run the Microsoft Office 2007 uninstaller from this link: http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9669698 Click "yes" to all the prompts, and restart the computer if prompted. After the above has been done, try to install Office 2007 again.
The files extensions you have listed, .docx and .xlsx, are files that have been created using the Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 suite of programs. Specifically .docx is a Microsoft Word document, and .xlsx is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. You will have to have either of the Microsoft Office programs mentioned, or you can also use the Open Office suite of programs. This is a free program that you can download at the following website:

try installing again and while the setup ask for mode of installation like complete etc choose Manual and select the office programs which are needed for you (deselect the excel)
