Restarts before windows loads up.

I figured it out. If you did by accident loaded EFI shell and your pc then restarts and crashes sortly after selecting safe mode settings (as if it wishes to load) but a faint blue screen appears then it restarts and same problem.

I am using an XP Home edition package to a H71M-DGS motherboard but this should not matter so longs as you haven't formatted your HD.

Solution: If to reset CMOs manually or in BIOS load default settings does not solve your problem, and even trying a different SATA port :P. Then look at your SATA configurations. I found that the default setting was ADCH then set it to IDE and that should allow boot to your oldish HDD. Hope this solutions helps some may not be the solution for all.

you need to reset it. there are different fires so not sure where the place is, but ours is on the back. use a paper clip, stick in the hole and it will reset and come on. you should refer to your users manual on line. probably under amazon.com kindle help.

1, Disconnect the power cord and switch off the computer. Tap and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

2, Switch on the computer and reconnect the power cord. Turn on the computer and tap the F10 key for about every 5 seconds.

3, Press the F5 key and this restores the default settings. Tap the Enter key for the changes. Press the F10 key for opening the Save and Exit window.

4, Tap the Enter key and this saves the changes and restarts the computer.
