Open it up and the first place to look will be the power supply section, look for bad caps with bulging top/bottomseal, post back what you see so we can guide you further, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Hi My monitor that i have used to let us shut off the monitor manually, it no longer does it reads key lock whenever we try to turn it off and if we try to adjust any settings it will read key lock in the...

I'm not aware of any ability to lock the keys on any monitor I've seen. I've not used a lot of Scepter monitors but it seems like a rather pointless option to have. So unfortunately the monitor seems to be malfunctioning and will have to be repaired or replaced.
The only thing i can suggest trying is unplugging the monitors power cable for a few seconds in hopes it will reset the monitors control buttons.

I have a 20 sceptre widescreen lcd monitor

Have you tried any other monitor connected to your computer since your current problem? Check your connections, make sure your VGA cable/DVI cable are in good condition. If none of that works try to RMA it to sceptre if your still within the 1 year period.

I have a sceptre x9g-naga III

Not an expert, but from what Ive read, this is a cfl inverter issue. I had the same problem on my Sceptre. Good luck finding parts. My solution: get another monitor.

Dead scepter x22 monitor

Had a Sceptre DCL9A model for mine. There are plastic snaps which hold the back and front covers together. After I took off the screws and detach the monitor stand, I slid a very small flat head screw driver along the sides until I found each snap. They should come loose easily with a slight twist of the screwdriver. There are about 5 on each side of the monitor (not counting the monitor). Do not try to force it as you can warp or crack the plastic.

LCD Monitors x7g troubleshooting

Check some of the other posts as it is probably just a bad capacitor or two and very easy to fix if you can do that sort of thing. I did and mine is back up and running.

Sceptre LCD problem

You didn't say if this monitor used to work on your computer or if it's new to you. Assuming it's new. Check if you get the Bios text etc when the compter is first switched on, if so then the monitor may not be able to support your windows resolution. If you have two monitor sockets on your PC then try the other one. If you are plugging in to a laptop, sometimes you have to enable the external monitor output. Just a few guesses, more info required.
