I have it plugged into my laptop but it just reads 'no signal' - what software do I need to make laptop communicate with monitor?

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

Once you connect external monitor, you need to transfer the display in to it. for that you need to press Fn key and some other key( a key with monitor symbol on it) . If you mention which laptop you are using we can help you out.

If your laptop has the correct connection you dont' need any software. on the laptop look for the Fn key usually lower left of the board. hold that down and look to the "F" keys at the top of the board for a picture of a monitor or word LCD. hit that. this will toggle the display mode.

if this doens't work leave the monitor on the unit. turn the unit off and then boot back up. this will auto recognise the monitor. further advanced options can be foudn in your display setting area of the control panel

Hype optical mouse model no. HY-7005-WMA 2.4GHz isn't working properly, wont connect to any device. How do I get the adapter signal to read on my laptop?

So you're saying you've tried connecting to other devices to no avail?
Might be worth reading the direction carefully. Sometimes there's a reset/rescan button(small) on the mouse that needs to be engaged after everything is plugged in.

My bike reads E1 when I plug it in

Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000168 EndHTML:0000001293 StartFragment:0000000468 EndFragment:0000001276

ERR1 indicates a speed issue. In this case, the motor speed as reported from the optic sensor differs

from the speed setting.

Analysis: Optic sensor signal issue -- Either the optic sensor signal is not right, or it is read incorrectly, or

the signal is not reaching the display.

test the speed sensor for open or faulty. clean it, and tight the connector very well. see the diagram attached. However RUN the software calibration for easy fix it.

God bless you

Mouse movement is slow to respond

If it's a wired USB mouse, then the laser may not be getting a good reading, try using a mouse pad. If you don't have one, then use something else that is not reflective material. If it is wireless, then the receptor (the part you plug into your PC/laptop) may not be getting a good signal. Make sure there is nothing blocking the path between the receptor and the mouse. Or maybe the battery needs to be replaced.

Wifi Signal Problem ???

You have the following options.

1. Move closer to the router

2. Purchase and install a wireless usb adapter that plugs into your usb port from Tiger Direct at: http://www.tigerdirect.com

3. Try using another client to manage your wireless. Usually there are 2 ways to manage your wireless on the laptop. You can use the software that came with your internal wireless card or you can use Windows (zero config) to manage your wireless. Which ever one you are now using, switch to the other. Open the software that controls your wireless and look through the tabs searching for where it will say something like "Let this tool Manage the Wireless" or "Let Windows Zero Config Manage the Wireless". Which ever one it is using switch to the other by checking or unchecking the box. Most times one will produce a better and stronger signal than the other.

Even a new computer needs updates, the driver and software is only as up to date as it was when the laptop was first manufactured. Try plugging the laptop in wired and go to Sylvania

Why do I get a "check signal cable" message when I plug the 15Pin D-Sub Signal Cable from the LG monitor I just bought into my Acer Aspire One Laptop? I did not download any LG software as my laptop does...

Because it not getting the video signal from you laptop VGA output jack, you need to use the keyboard combination key to slect between internal (laptop screen) or external or both. Read your laptop user manual, most laptop uses Fn key and either F5, 6, or 7 to select the displays.
You also need to make sure the video resoliton is not too high for the monitor to display otherwise you will get 'format not supported' or 'out off range' showing on the monitor.

Monator has no signal

Plugging into the laptop as an alternative monitor needs you to set the Laptop to divert the signal to the external monitor.
As you did not mention the laptop I cannot go further  except to suggest you read the manual with regard this situation.
On some models of laptop this function is actuated  by pressing a certain key- which may have for example a BLUE symbol on  in the front edge whilst pressing another key in the region of the space bar with a blue symbol on it.
Then manual will tell all
