Hi,
You will need the restore cds that came with your laptop. Insert the restore cd in your dvd drive and restart your computer. When the message "Press any key to boot from cd" press enter.
Then follow the on screen instructions to restore your computer.

My satellite 5205-s503 wont turn on, the power light just blinks

Try plugging it into a different outlet. If that doesn't work, test your ac adapter. Check the voltage for 19.5v.

HOW TO RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULT SETTING MY TOSHIBA SATELLITE L670D WINDOWS 7, KINDLY HELP ME, I TRY USING RECOVERY DISC BUT IT NOT WORK.

Hello,

If my answer has helped you today please offer four thumbs up as thanks!

Take account of any files or programs you still want to use after the Toshiba laptop is restored back to its factory settings. Transfer the files to a backup location, such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive.

Restart the Toshiba Satellite laptop's operating system. Wait for the Toshiba logo to appear on the screen.

Press the key that brings up the hard drive disk utility menu. Depending on the specific model of your Toshiba Satellite laptop, the key will either be "0," "F1," or "F8."

Press "1" or click "Restore Original Factory Image." Click "Yes." Select "Next" to begin the restoration process.

Restart the Toshiba laptop computer when the restoration process finishes running. Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to set up the laptop's date, time and language settings.

Transfer the backup copies of the data you saved earlier back to the Toshiba's hard drive. Re-install any programs you need, such as your software firewall or anti-virus tool.

Forget password bios toshiba satlite 5205

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your Toshiba Satellite laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

It sounds like the hard drive is dying. I had a computer do the same thing and it turned out to be the hard drive. You should still be able to access the bios though. Try hittind either delete or F1 as soon as your toshiba screen appears.

Toshiba 5205-S503 Laptop- No power

- You may want to try to reseating all neccessary things on the system like optical drive, hdd, memory but before you do that disengage the power from the system like the ac and battery.

-If no..go try to remove the optical drive first and then turn the system on, then if the system boot without the optical drive shut it down and put back the optical drive and boot to bios and load the default setting and boot the system normally.
