Problem with Indesit tumble dryer

The water container "full" light on my Indesit IS70C tumble dryer is staying on even though the water container is empty. Consequently, the dryer is not heating. I have thoroughly cleaned the filter and condenser. Any suggestions?

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) thatmight need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can tripout or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehaveprograms that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcodeshowing you were the fault is.

Make a lot of nosie

Hi mervyn2011
Sounds like you have a bearing problem or drum roller/slide problems.
You will need to take the dryer apart to determine which problem it is.

I have an indesit IS60V tumble dryer and it's no longer drying my clothes even though the dryer tumbles fine. I have checked the filters to ensure they are clean and the vent hose which all appear ok.

How can i fix my indesit is70c tumble dryer? my indesit is70c tumble dryer wont heat up during performance

open the back panel , not the the full back just the smaller panel located near the bottom half.
the termo will be screwed onto this panel . unscrew and you will see two circles near the top one will have a small pin hole in it . stick a pin in till you hear a click replace and should work fine

Indesit condenser tumble dryer water light always on even though container empty

Maybe trapped water in the dryer. Switch off and remove power from wall. Remove condenser unit from the dryer (clean the condenser while you have the chance with plenty of water and an old toothbrush - it will probably be filthy). With the condenser unit removed stick an old tea towel in the hole where the condenser was and then tip the dryer on its side. If there is water it will either run onto the tea towel or onto your kitchen floor OR into the water container!

It worked for me, honest...

problem is probably the pump that sends water up to the container. take small panel off back and pump and water container is exposed. power the pump independently and see if it works
