I'm not sure what are you really trying to tell us. So, I understand that you was charging TWO cell phones through USB ports of your laptop and then your laptop turned off and now you can't turn it on?
Presume you can continue charging your cell phones from a wall outlet using a converter unit.
Now, the problem might be to understand what happened to your laptop. If you can't get from it any "life" signal, not even the led indicating that it is charging, means you have a problem with power supply unit. As a very wild guess, it can be that your power supply unit was overcharged and burned out. Weird, beacaus the charge needed for two cellphones desn't seems too much. OK, so there's not much more I can tell you about a laptop that won't turn on, except that you should take it to diagnosis and repair. Dependig about the issue, maybe you can repair it or maybe you can't repair it for a reasonable price so should buy a new one.

My ipod touch was working ok then i just turn it off and now it dose not turn back on.
Try holding the "Home" button and the "Sleep" button at the top for at least 10 seconds. If the unit does not show an Apple logo and reboot, try plugging the iPod into your computer with the cable to charge it. If the battery is very dead, it may take a few minutes for the iPod to respond as it needs to charge some beofre turning on.

It won't charge in the car and the MSN isn't working. Cable shows green light when plugged in the car.
Try the unit in another car - if it still doesn't work - try reversing the inline fuse.
If all else fails - try charging it first on the home wall unit - or a charge that is COPMPATIBLE and doesn't charge too fast. Most cell phone charges with the mini plug will work but not all. IF all else fails - try resetting the unit - turn it off - then on - hold your thumb in the lower right corner on the screen. The next screen should ask you to reset - select yes - reboot and try again - if this fails I would try a new cord and then if that doesn't work - send the whole unit back - GARMIN is great for the first full year.

Tomtom 720 won't turn on. Its charging as i type this as am not sure how flat it is. But..... Q1. Left it on charge on laptop for about 45 mins and it started to install Tomtom home. Windows Vista then...
Remove the SD card and try to connect to your computer, the 720 maps are in the internal memory and the unit should start. If not try a hard Reset through the "Reset"hole in the case of the GPS. insert a small paper clip to reset the GPS.

Sounds like a bad battery. Try plugging DC adapter directly into the bottom of the unit and turn it on - does it still act-up? If so, bad radio; if it works with adapter only, then battery and charging issue.

try resetting your unit


Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.


Press and hold the On/Off button until your device restarts. This can take more than fifteen seconds.

if that fail, use your tomtom home to update your unit.

My go 720 gps keeps freezing up
try resetting it, if that doesnt work, connect your unit to tomtom home. if you dont have tomtom home, follow the link at the bottom.

To reset your TomTom device, do the following:
  1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
    Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.

  2. Remove the SD card
    If your device uses an SD card, remove it.

  3. Reset your device.
    Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for 15 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.

  4. Turn your device on.
    Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.

  5. Insert the SD card
    If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

Will not come on or only for 1 second
It sounds as if the battery is not charging. Leave it connect to a turned on computer overnight and try it after a full nights charge.or about 12 hours. Let us know if this doesn't work.

I bought a TOM TOM 920T new in May 2008. It stopped working yesterday on the road and I got l;ost as a result. Finally, somehow I got home. The power shuts off within few seconds of my turning it on.
Did you try to reset the Tom Tom? Did you try to see if the unit is charging or fully charged (samll green light on the lower righthand corner should illuninate when charging)? I have had problems with the power connection at the base of the unit getting loose. Try taking it into the computer and getting a full charge if it is a charging problem. Not an expert but expereinced the same problem recently.

Push power protector
I brought the unit to an authorized Sony repair depot and they concluded that all the power transistors were fried. They replaced the system board under warranty (at no charge) and the system has functioned perfectly since. Thanks for your help. -Steve.

Is Nextar bankrupt and if so is some other company supporting my GPS I can't find a satellite signal. I've tried turning off and on and resetting. Don't know what else to do.
