The door is most probably out of alignment with the front shroud. Slightly loosen the door hinge screws and close the door firmly making sure it is fully and evenly seated into the shroud. Retighten the lower hinge screw but not fully tight. Retighten the upper hinge screw but not fully tight. Fully retighten the lower hinge screw then the upper hinge screw.

Yes, it is possible. No other part associated with the door sealing was removed during the replacement of the wax motor and motor control except the door itself.

My Neptune front-load washer goes through every cycle on time and with the proper water-in and water-out but refuses to spin-dry at any point. I noticed the original problem when it was spin-drying a...

if the washe model number does not start with MAH5500B: Check if the "locked"or "door locked" light comes on. If it does not, you need to replace the wax motor in the door lock assembly and the machine control board, which is inside the control panel. The control board is expensive, so instead of buying the whole control board, if you're good in electronic repair and soldering, try checking ebay for the control board repair kit. Search for "MAYTAG NEPTUNE WASHER R11 Q6 REPAIR KIT". It has all instructions how to do the repair. Good luck!

Strange growling sounds on rinse and spin cycle

I would check the motor control board located near the floor on the right side for burnt components. The motor is a 3 phase unit and if one of the phases are working the motor will growl and won't be able to supply the proper torque.

See www.neptunehelp.com for disassembly photos and for more info on the faulty door latch wax motor.

Maytag mah4000aww, tub overfills

Have you changed your door latch wax motor yet... If you have the brown actuator pin then you want to chuck that wax motor out of there quicker than spit! You want the redesigned wax motor with the black actuator pin. I know of folks where the wax motor failure caused the timer and /or water valves to act up... See www.neptunewaxmotor.com for disassembly photos and other Neptune information.

Maytag Neptune MAH5500B

You need to replace the wax motor, part # 12002535, every time you pull the ripcord. The cord is made to break the wax motor. Also check the control board to see if the R-11 resistor is burned out and replace the board if it is. Congrats if it is not, the control board and wax motor work together and if one is inop it will burn out the other.
