We were operating the Element flx3210 with through the VGA input, and afterwards it simply wouldn't turn on! The orange light in the bottom right of the front panel was lit, but it would not turn on (using front panel OR remote). We tried unplugging and plugging back in, etc; nothing works. BOGUS!

Same problem Hooked my FLX-3210 to VGA to watch a Netflix movie. Worked great until PC went into standby mode. TV powered off and would not turn on again. Called the Element 'service' department and they advised me to unplug it and plug it back in. Useless. Customer Service for Element was MORE useless after waiting for 1 hour. I asked for a manager and they advised that a manager would have to call me, they could not connect me with one (BULL). Of course, no one called-been three weeks now. This happened 6 days past the 1 year warranty. ELEMENT STINKS after the sale.

I was hooking up the external speakers on my 50" Mitsubishi Pd-5010, and the picture went out. When I restarted the TV, I know longer had a picture, and it sounded like the speakers were crackling.
    Any advice?

Element FLX-3210. Same thing here, watched a movie on Netflix and then left it for a bit. Came back to the TV off and red light on but no blue light. But it is not limited to Nvidia or Intel chipsets because i have ATI. Element told me it was likelt the Main Power Supply and wanted $240 + shipping both ways and even then they said it COULD cost more. What a piece of **** TV, 6 months out of warranty and its useless.

I had the same problem today. Just red light and no blue light. I used intel chip. but does it matter to connect with computer and cause some problem?

Man!Now I'm about to kick myself, now I've read all these complaints? At least you guys had a chance to enjoy your TV's?Mine?Take a load of this,I went to Circuit City or should I say Liquidation City?Yes,they're on a "going out of businss sale" right?I went ahead and bought, this Element FLX-3211B Flat LCD TV?I thought for the price $339 for a 32" Tv is a good deal, I even bought they're Protection plan(3rd party company I guess?) for $59.99 for 2 years?I went home excited with my new TV...when I turned it on, all I got was a flicker for a second then nothing?Blank, no menus, static, nothing? So, I went back there, see if they can do something about it,I know all sales are final, but come on,they should at least consider to replace or refund my money for this kind of situation, right?Of course NOT!They denied me!I mean, it's supposed to be a brand new TV!Why it doesn't work right away?Unless it was an opened box before, and didn't tell me and made it look like it's new!Now I will try to talk to the Protection Plan tomorrow that I purchased, hope they could give me some refund? But now after reading all these complaints, both the TV brand and Circuit City, here in the internet?I might as well feel that I was robbed!Hope there is a solution here?Help help help! People selling bad products should NOT be in the business!Johnny

Is it just me or does someone else really want to put this company out of business!! Im setting here reading through countless amounts of complaints about this company and its products. They are built to fail and the main problem is that their VGA port was built to destroy any purchase with no questions asked.

DOES THIS COMPANY BELIEVE IN CALLBACKS!!!

They are ILLEGALLY ROBBING people BLIND! IM SUING !! No question about it. If you would like to support me and my lawyers with suit please email me: [email protected]

They're going down and my main concern is not over the money WE LOST, but the countless others that fall into the trap of this crappy company and their unearned profitability.

I get the blue light on with sound but no picture........Grrrrrrrrrr

  • bru15 May 01, 2010

my element 32in worked fie for 2.5 years or so no problems at all. recently i fell asleep with it on (nothing out of the normal usage) and i woke up to the input menu flashing uncontrollably. i tried the remote to get it to stop with no luck. So i turned it off figuring i would let it cool down or something, when i tried to turn it back on the blue light would come on the screens back lights would kick on then it would shut right back off. after an hour or so of messing with the tv, trying everything but taking it completely apart it started to work again for about a week. Now it is doing the same thing all over again, seems to only do it when it rains, pretty weird. anyone else experience this problem?

I have an element lcdtv 32inch. The tv is less than a year old, i was watching the tv and it just shut off. The red light is on, when i go to power it up, the blue light comes on for a second then blinks, and goes back to red. I know its not a brand name tv, but for 600 bucks, it should last for more than 8 months. Anyone have any advice ?

I as well as many of you have the same problem. But I did take it in to a local repair since when I called Customer Service they told me to find a local repair shop. Well the solution is to replace the power supplie for this Elements FLX-3210. I am now looking on prices on this part to see if is worth the repair since the tec is talking about $250.00 the reapir with his work.

Same TV - Unplug from the back, at night we plug it in and it will work for 1.2 hour and shut itself off, after that it will not come on. Unplug each day during the day to watch for 1/2 hour at night. Sears said we were out of luck. Is there a replacement part of some sort to fix this issue!!!!!!!! Very frustrated at Sears and the manufacturer!

I contacted Element customer service to try to find the answer to this problem.

According to the sales representative, the problem seems to lie with some sort of conflict between Nvidia and/or intel integrated chipset drivers (one or the other)

Which means if you have either Nvidia or intel integrated running your video, you are SOL.

He said that if it did wink out on you, its 2 weeks for them to get it, fix it, and send it back.

Hope that helps

I lost the power cord during a move to my FLX-3210 Element TV. I can not find it anywhere. Help!

It is the same power cord as used for your PC. One end is NEMA5-15P, anther end is IEC C13.
RadioShack or local PC repair shop should have them.

I have an Element FLX 3210 that won't light up and show a picture..it has the sound but no picture.

Check the two caps (10uF 450Vdc) by the inverter transformers, also check fuse F2.
Worst case will be shorted out ballast caps in the LCD panel assembly.

How do i get picture in picture?

As far as I know, this TV doesn't have a PIP feature. The Element Electronics web site didn't appear to list this older model. www.elementelectronics.com did provide a phone number for customer support.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Element-FLX-3210-TVs-manual/id/4540dj094/t/2/ does have the manual online.

I hope this helps.

Element flx-3210 lcd tv

Sony sets are tricky to troubleshoot and you're not telling us much. For example, do you hear anything at all when you turn it on (clicking or high voltage coming up then shutting down). Anything appears on the screen at all ? Does the red light on the front blink and if so how many times ?
