what do u mean by intel? pls clarify

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

enable Intel? you can't get IE? i understand the last part but the first i'm not sure. Intel would possibly be your processor and maybe your motherboard and graphics chipset. As for IE, that is Internet Explorer a browser. can you be cleared.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as enable intel, intel is a hardware company.

If you reformatted the hard drive, then you had to install the operating system.

If you did a system restore, or recovery restore, this does not format
the hard drive.

What ever you did, if IE is missing, you need to try it again, because IE
is integrated into the windows operating system and is always there, so something happened.

Are you sure its not under the start menu, or listed in your control panel.

Sometimes it does not get placed on your desktop, so you think its missing when its not.

Check around, and if you need more help just post back.

You had to tell it to system restore, or system recovery, because windows will not just format. The error 650 is saying that IE8
is not found, did you try and install this or update.

Your system might only be able to run IE7 if it does not have all of its updates.

The intel MGT is enabled in the bios of your system, if the board allows it.

Did you install something that was not on the original laptop, because this is a bios error and usually only happens when
you install hardware that was not there.

If you could post exactly what you are doing, and when the error comes up, and is IE there but not working, it will be easier to figure out the problem.

  • Anonymous Feb 11, 2010

Do you know how to look through your bios, its best if you get your manual, and have it walk you through it, then me trying to explain it.

You can try the above suggestions, if you still have a IE8 problem,
uninstall it and install windows IE 7. Then go to your control panel
and go to windows update, and tell it to check for updates.

    88, WHAT THE !!!!!!!!!

WHY HAVE YOU NOT HAD THE UPDATES SET TO AUTO.

WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER ALL THE UPDATES INSTALL, DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER WHILE IT UPDATES OR INSTALLS, I KNOW IT MIGHT APPEAR TO HANG
AND TAKE A WHILE,IT COULD TAKE LONGER THEN AN HOUR,
BUT DO NOT SHUT IF OFF. AFTER THEY ARE ALL INSTALLED
AND IT RESTARTS, IT WILL RUN THROUGH ANOTHER INSTALL JUST BEFORE WINDOWS LOGS IN, WHEN WINDOWS STARTS AFTER EVERYTHING TRY IE, AND POST BACK WHAT HAPPENS.

IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT, DOWNLOAD FIREFOX, AND INSTALL IT, YOU NEED A FLASH DRIVE,SEE IF SOMEONE WILL LET YOU BORROW ONE AND LOAD IT ON A FLASH DRIVE,MEMORY STICK OR SD CARD.

THIS WAY YOU CAN DO STUFF FROM THE PC, FIREFOX IS WAY BETTER THEN IE AND SAFER.

I AM NOT YELLING, JUST MAKING IT EASIER TO READ.

    NEVER GIVE UP,HAHA

    YOU HAVE THREE OPTIONS,
    SYSTEM RESTORE,
    SYSTEM RECOVERY
    REINSTALL WINDOWS
NOW THIS DEPENDS, IF YOU HAVE A RECOVERY PARTITION,RECOVERY DISK,WINDOWS DISK.

POST THE EXACT BRAND AND MODEL # AND LET ME SEE IF YOU MIGHT HAVE A RECOVERY PARTITION.

IF YOU HAVE A WINDOWS DISK,HAVE SOMEONE RELOAD WINDOWS AND ALL ITS DRIVERS.

  • Anonymous Feb 12, 2010

Try hitting f8 or how ever your laptop enters safe mode, it usually says it at the bottom when you start the laptop up,
system options, something like this, should be in your manual, start in safe mode and go to start, accessories, system tools, system restore. open it, then check, choose a different restore point, then next, then check show all restore points, and pick the oldest restore point,
and see if it will restore, if not you have to go with recovery or reinstall windows.

If you mean by IE Internet Explorer you have two options:
1.go to c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe
2.Create a new text file that contains the following line:
CODE
@start "" /b "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" %*
Rename the file e.bat
Copy this file to your profile folder
C:\Documents and Settings\your_account_name
and now you can use the e.bat to start Internet explorer.

I'm basing this off the fact that they are lookign for Internet Explorer.
Depending on the operating system version of Windows, assuming that is their OS, I will give solutions how to get IE to install.

Windows XP

1) open My Computer on your desktop
2) on the left side of the my computer window, click Add/Remove programs
3) On the left of the Add/Remove there is an "Add/Remove Windows Components" icon. click this.
4) when the next screen opens, scroll and look for internet explorer and put a check box in the selection.
5) click next and follow the steps.

Windows Vista and 7

1) Click start
2) Click control panel
3) click Program and Features.
4) on the left side of Program and Features click "Turn Windows features on or off"
5) put a check in Internet Explorer 7 or 8
6) click ok and follow the steps.

If you are looking to place the original XP Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, you cannot do this from Service Pack 2 and on. This feature was removed due to antitrust issues for Microsoft

What is BIOS caching and shadowing in computers? please give a link for its definition and what is it use for? i guess it's related to ''Blue Screen stop error''

I assume that you are talking about going into the setup screen at the startup of the computer. Bios shadowing usually refers to the video bios which when enabled allows it to be copied to the system dram for better performance. Bios caching enables segments of the system bios to be cached to main memory for faster execution. Cached essentially means saved to. As for the blue screen stop error- I refer to this as the Blue Screen of Death because usually the only way to fix it is by reformatting the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. Hopefully this was a little helpful. Good Luck.

How to reformat or reboot my comp witout any cds

You can't reformat without CD's

The most common cause for a slow PC is either a virus or malware.

Your problem is that you say you cannot download anything so you would be unable to run an online scan to check your system.

If you have access to another PC you could download F-Secure rescue disc and burn to CD then set your PC to boot from CD and run a scan before your system boots.

Details here.

MSI provides a Live Update feature on their website for identifying the correct drivers for your system. Using IE just browse over and run the update to see what you need.

If this doesn't properly identify your system drivers please post under this thread so I can follow up with you.
