I have some charging issues with my 530 roomba

I think have some charging issues with me 530 roomba. I charge it, set it to clean and it goes for 30 seconds (or less) then does a funeral tone (Dum de de dum) and it flashes red 6 or 7 times. What's the solution? is it just a matter of buying a new battery? I've thoroughly cleaned it, checked and wiped the sensors.

Red light flashing very fast and not charging fully

How long is it charging until the light goes from flashing red (no charge) to yellow to finally green (full charge) ? If it's not at least 2 hours, sorry I don't have my Roomba papers available, so I'm guesstimating here, it's not getting a full charge. If you can put a voltmeter on the " fully charged" battery pack, that might tell you if the charger is the problem. Clean off the metal contacts where Roomba meets the two metal contacts on the charger. Also just because a battery pack or set is new doesn't mean it's functional. I had a new Apple battery for my laptop that didn't work when I replaced an older one.

I have a 4.5 year old IRobot Roomba 530 Robotic Vacuum. Appears to be fully charged but then only runs for about 30 seconds before stopping. What may be the problem?

You need a new battery - they don't hold their charge after a while. There is a lot of advice on line about how to try to make the battery last longer but 4.5 years is actually pretty good.

Roomba 530 is fully charged, when I press clean it moves forward but after a second stops and flashes red any ideas how to resolve this problem

These are cool machines. If there is a battery it cold need charging or changing. If not, there is a sensor somewhere that just may need cleaning. Thats all I can offer right now. Let me know becuse my Dad has one and I will go over and check his out. Chris

Roomba 4108 does not charge

Try resetting your Roomba by removing the battery, unplug the charging connector, hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. This will reset the charging system, replace your battery, connect your charger and see what happens. By the way do you also have a homebase ? If so try that too
