Bush LCD tv wont allow Wii to be tuned thru AV

I have a Bush LCD tv. Have just bought a Wii but cannot get it to work with the tv. All three connections made to tv, yet Wii wont tune into the AV input select. Any ideas?
I have pressed 'Source' on the remote, then Side AV but the screen stays black and not with the Wii Menu Screen.

Hi, the av lead with the three connectors at the end make sure you have them connected correctly -
Yellow - Video
White - Left Audio
Red - Right Audio

It's a simple mistake to make , but check it.

Let me know - Anthony

I'm glab You've sorted it out Sharon.
I know the feeling, sometimes you think you have gone far enough, but discover you can go just that little further.

If you need anymore help just ask, did you know, if you have a computer with wireless internet, your wii can connect as well, you can download a web browser for it and check on facebook.

If you need more assistance, give us a shout.

    Regards - Anthony

Wii to Philips LCD TV 32"" - sound but no video. Just bought a refurb. Philips LCD TV for our WII. The standard AV cable gave sound, no video. The warning message flashes up in the beginning...

Looks like the AV port in your Philips television is busted. It's the only factor if the Wii is able to function with other tv with the same cable. You can either purchase a new television/get the one you have fixed (these will cost money) or you could just purchase an hdmi cable which doesn't use the same port so it could possibly work with your Philips television.

Connecting a wii to a toshiba tv model no. 28n33b

I was having exactly the same problem with my toshiba 28N33B until 2 minutes ago! I searched the internet for the solution but only came accross your unanswered question, i hope you've sorted it by now anyway as its been 6 months, but for all those with a similar problem:

You cannot connect your wii to AV OUTLETS only INLETS! At first glance it appears that the 28N33B only has outlets....BUT actually, the AV inlets are (stupidly) hidden behind the speaker to the right of the TV screen (as if you were looking at the screen) - they are separate from all the other ports at the back of the tv.

For anyone looking for Toshiba inlets on other models - my advice would be to take a deep breath, push the telly out from the wall and take a GOOD long look all over the tv for three circular ports coloured red, white and yellow that have the words 'in' or 'inlet' etc printed near to them. You're wasting your time trying to connect the wii via the audio output, it just wont work, no matter how much you re-tune the tv (I know from experience! grr!)

Right, i'm off to play mariokart, hope this helps somebody!

How do I switch to Av manually?

You may have to get an exact replacement to get ALL the set's functions to operate. Universal remotes don't let you access all the functions of some TV's If you can use the buttons on the front of the set to bring up the menu, you may be able to scroll through it and find where you can select the type of input you want. You would select AV. Stargazer
