You will need to remove the 4 screws on the back to remove the back case. Once removed, you will see the batteries. There are metal tabs on the batteries that connect them to the circuit board. I suggest cutting these tbs close to the batteries. You can then solder your new batteries to those tabs that are still connected to the circuit board.

You will find batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My philips 6849 rechargable razor will not hold the charge for very long ,how do I correct this problem,? I have had this razor for about three years

The problem is that the battery pack is worn out and need replaced. You will need to see if this unit has one or two batteries. You will find these batteries at shaveroutlet.com. See links below for these two types

I have used philips triple head razors since 1969, all worked well however my 18 month old RQ10 arcitec shave head only lasted 16 months, it dosnt have the self sharpening feature or detail cleaning...

Philips suggests that you change the heads on your shaver every 12 months. This is the life expectancy on newer models. There are not any other options but to change them as needed.
For replacements, see shaveroutlet.com at the link below

Philishave8890 when the razor states fully

It sounds like the battery pack needs replaced. You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need to order 2 batteries

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/shaver-replacement-battery-aa-nimh-p-108.html

To replace, you will need to remove the back cocer by removing the two screws. Take off back cover to access inside. For easier replacement, it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

After charging razor will not turn on no power how to open razor to replace battery if that is the problem

Most likely, the battery just needs to be changed. Open the shaver by removing the two screws near the bottom on the back of the shaver.<br /> You will find the correct battery at shaveroutlet.com. How do you re-install the spring on the trimmer? This is for a Norelco 800RX shaver

The spring on the trimmer for model 800RX should not come out. If it has come out from the trimmer, almost certainly the two tiny bits of plastic that hold the spring to the trimmer are broken off. You will not be able to repair this properly...sorry

Norelco shaver 800RX The spring on the pop-up trimmer came out while replacing batteries. Is there a drawing that shows how this spring is attached? The spring isn't broken, I need to know how the spring...

The spring has two coils, one at each end. They need to be pushed, hard, into the plastic tabs. I heard each side 'click' in. I wasn't pushing hard enough at first.

My battery will not recharge

The battery has finally degraded to the point that it won't hold or pass voltage, so yes it needs to be replaced. Luckily, with a few skills, such as disassembly and soldering, you can remove and reinstall a new, rechargeable battery that should get the razor working like a champ.

Electric Shaver Service stocks most rechargeable replacement batteries for almost all electric shavers made.

Here's a link to the battery page, just find your model and you're ready to go. If you want, you can call and confirm which is the correct replacement battery for your specific model shaver too.
