Good day, this thing really happens when you remove the battery then you'll notice that the stereo wont work for it has a security code, anti theft that only certain companies can unlock.

My radio panel lights went out a few years ago but the radio sitll played, 2 days ago the radio just stop but the cd plays, what's wrong?

That's what eventually happens to all the old Chrysler radios. You will have to get it repaired or replaced. Some of the newer Jeep radios will just plug right into your dash harness.

check the voltage on the battery with a volt meter, it should be around 12.6 to 13 volts, if not charge battery with a charger, after charge try to start vehicle, if the vehicle starts use your volt meter at the battery again, the voltage should be around 14 to 14.5 any lower and the battery isn't being charged and the alternator should be checked and or replaced to solve the problem..

My Cd player in my 2004 Jeep grand cherokee laredo wont eject the cd. It recognizes that there is a cd there and will even play the cd when i press the mode button but it wont eject it. Any help is...

I have an 05 jeep grand cherokee and the other day when I went to hit the the eject button on the CD player it automatically went straight to the radio. After I restarted the vehicle I could hit mode and it would begin to play the cd again but if I tried to hit eject it would go to the radio again. It doesnt have a disc changer and everything else on the factory head unit is working find, the radio, all that stuff. I didnt want to start tearing things apart or trying to dig it out. I have sees some others with the same problem on here, but the answer are like "dig in there with tweezers" and I dont think thats the best possible way to solve the problem. Any Ideas?

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee battery will drain

Ditto here on a 2005 jeep. We bought it new and found the battery dead on a few mornings the first year. Nothing left on. Did the new alternator thing about 2 yrs. ago and a few batteries along the way. This is what we noticed..... If you leave a CD in the CD player, that is the prime little devil that sucks out the juice. Now, we never turn off the car while a CD is in the dash. Now, maybe not necessary every time, but always overnight and now by habit, all the time, we make sure there is no CD inserted when the car is off. Hope this helps.
