In my office this error message E021 came up today,too. So I called customer service to solve this problem.Operator advised me to shut off the power suply with pull out source plug about 5 minutes,after that, put plug in socket again. If error message E021 still comes up,it needs repair(fix) by cannon support because of breakdown.

In my home office this error message came up, E021. I opened the Printer cover, closed it, unplugged and replugged and got a Paper Jam message. I removed the paper jam and did the cover/plug routine. Now I have a message CHECK PRINTER OPEN AND CLOSE COVER. But I can't find anything wrong! I have been searcing for an explanation of the error message online, but haven't found that either. my printer may be infested by aliens.
