How do I open the top of the projector to replace the light bulb?

I do not have a manual. I need to know exactly how to open the lid on this hanimex 2300ef projector. A screwdriver will simplly break the lid. After that I will not have any trouble changing the light bulb.

Turn the power off. Release the latch on the side of the projector and open the top of the overhead projector. Click on the links below to read "step by step" information on how to replace the light bulb in your projector.

Well you can please follow the below steps-
1. Locate the bulb in the movie projector. You may need to use a screwdriver to open the bulb compartment. Check your owner's manual for proper procedures.
2. Remove the movie projector light bulb or lamp. The bulb must be cool before you take it out. Use a tissue or cloth to remove the bulb because the glass bulb is very fragile. Do not throw away your bulb yet, you may need it to help find a replacement.
3. Find replacement bulb. The Better Lamps website offers a wide variety of light bulb models. From their homepage select the brand of movie projector you have and using the model number from your old bulb, buy a replacement.
4. Replace the movie projector lamp or light bulb. Do not touch the bulb with your skin. This can transfer oils from you onto the bulb resulting in a hot spot which can make the bulb burst. Use a tissue or cloth to handle the new bulb to screw it back into place and then replace the cover. Please tell us the model number of your projector for more help or information........

Bought new bulb for projector buhl 2900 but still not working.Fan comes one but no light

Like many overhead projectors, the Buhl 2900 can accept TWO projector bulbs (the operating one plus a spare). Make sure you inserted your replacement bulb in the slot for the operating lamp. There is a slide lever on the front of the unit that allows you to quickly switch to the spare lamp. Turn off the projector and move the slider to switch to the other bulb slot. See if that does the trick. Good luck!

How do I change the lamp? Lamp came with no directions. This is a HD72.

Light won't come on, replaced old light bulb.

First, check to see if the lamp lights at all (spill light coming out of the projector near the fan). If it does, then the problem could be just the "dark shutter" not opening. If the lamp does not light, it could be a couple of things: it could be the lamp thermal fuse has opened or it could be a bad lamp socket.
Sounds like you need to seek out a factory-trained repair dealer for this one, to narrow down the possibilities!

Benq pb6100, light bulb does not on, power ok

I fixed the exact same problem on my PB6200. Both back fans were not working, and the bulb would not turn on.

In my projector, the fan board had a bad capacitor. The fan board is the one where all 3 fans are connected, and which is facing upside down on top of the powerboard. The bad capacitor on my projector was coded C7302 on the schematics. It's a brown, 25v 470uf capacitor.

I recommend you to open your projector, unplug all connections to the fan board, turn it upside, and inspect the capacitors and other components. Bad capacitors have a bulge and/or a black stain or fluid coming out on the top. You can find pictures on the net.

Changing a light bulb?

Yes the bulb will need to be replaced. You can do a google search and find the bulbs from different vendors at cheaper rates.
As far as knowing how to change it, Dell has excellent tech support.
