Try unplugging the oven from the electric outlet, let it sit a few seconds, then plug it back in. This might reset the computer if it's locked up for some reason.

The oven's child-lock feature might be engaged. To turn it off, press and hold the "0" key, then press "2" and release both buttons. (From Samsung's website)

If neither of these help, the control board likely needs replacement.

Hope this helps you. Thanks for using Fixya!

My microwave ge space maker 1400xl will not work and or turned on please help !

If your GE Spacemaker XL 1400 microwave oven is not turning on, there are a few things you can do to diagnose the problem and try to remedy it. First, unplug the microwave oven and plug it back in again to supply power back to the oven after a power surge. Second, make sure the door is firmly shut as the oven does not operate unless the door is completely closed. Third, check the breaker box to make sure the switch associated with your microwave oven is not flipped to the "Off" position. Finally, press and hold the "Clear/Off" button on the front panel if the "Locked" message appears on the display. If none of these steps work, then the problem could be anything from a defective control circuit board or a burned out magnetron tube. Either fix is quite expensive and you'll have to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of replacing the microwave oven.

I have a GE Microwave Oven, model JKP90DPBB. The microwave appeared to have overheated the other night because I turned around to use it and it was dead / off (no working functions). Since then, it kicks...

"Built in" microwave ovens I've come across are all hung from the top of the oven, so you'll have to get above it to drop it out with help in all likelihood. Yours sounds like it may have a faulty connection to power either internally or at the plug. Dont use it like that. You will either destroy it or maybe even cause a fire.

I have accidentally locked my microwave oven (profile performance convection oven). I was cleaning the front. Can you tell me what to do?

Got you covered. Here you go:

Microwave - Explanation of the Child Lock Out Feature
Many microwave control panels can be locked to prevent accidental use or access by children.
There are two different ways to lock the control panel:
1. Press and hold the CLEAR/OFF pad for 3 seconds. The display will show "LOCK" and then revert to the time of day.
A small "L" will appear in the corner of the display as a reminder that the control panel is locked. If anyone tries to use the microwave, the display will show "LOCK".
2. On some models, press and hold the 5 and 7 pads simultaneously for 3 seconds.
To unlock the control: Repeat the procedure which was used to lock the control. (Press and hold the CLEAR/OFF pad for about 3 seconds or hold the 5 and 7 pad simultaneously for 3 seconds.)

That info is from GE

Hope that does the trick.

During cooking, the microwave will work for about 3 minutes then completely shut down. There appears to be a complete power failure. After the units sits for about 5 minutes,it resets itself and you can cook...

sounds like the cooling fan has came adrift or stopped working , this will cause the magnatron ( the microwave generator ) to overheat tripping the over temperature stat ,so fix the cooling , but be sooooooooooooo carefull in there , microwaves + really high voltages , not really a job for a non electrician/microwave tech
