Screen flashing back and freezing during games

The Sony Playstation 3 suffers from software bugs like any other device. Select "Update via Storage Media" from the next screen and press the "X" button to install the latest PS3 update on your machine. This will fix any software bugs that are preventing your PS3 from working properly.

u need a new hdmi cable

Sounds like a bad laser, but you should restore the PS3 back to Factory to see what happens.

If you get the same results it's definitely the laser.

you need a firmware update

as your firmware is damaged.

dont worry. this will just take a bit long time but once you start system uppdate it will automatically
download the firmware and update it.

you dont play on it for 50000000 years

when i got my ps3 it was already playing games in HDMI. but for some games, such as guitar hero 3, i had to go to options in the game and click HDMI and it has played in HDMI from then on
