After top dishwasher drawer is run, bottom drawer has standing water in it. Repair tech bypassed airgap, which is against code in this (WA) state.

Other solution?

There is one airgap for main 2 drawer unit. Other installation in this same house has 1 airgap for each drawer. (2 airgaps on that sink)

Have a kitchenaid double drawer dishwasher. While running the bottom drawer the top drawer fills up with water. Had the filler valve on the garbage disposal changed. Issue still continues. Any suggestions

Mine does the same thing! (Same model) I've finally discovered that if I start the bottom drawer first and the top drawer just after that doesn't happen as much. Also, if I run the garbage disposal (and water obviously) while it's starting (I will try to do my hand washing while the dishwasher is getting going) that seems to keep this from happening as well. I've given up running just one drawer, which totally defeats the purpose of buying the 2 drawer dishwasher. But it does keep me from having to bail the bottom drawer :-( I'd like a better solution to this too!

Fisher & paykel fault "F1" is displayed on the top

hello
F1 means the flood sensor senses water at base of machine at PC board.
You need to take out bottom drawer and check for water puddle under where the drawer was.If there is water you can get the machine going again by comletely drying it out(F1WILL CLEAR),but it still means you have a leak. With bottom drawer out you can really see whats going on.Once F1 is clear you can actually run upper drawer and see if it leaks. Most likely culprit are the lid actuators.Replace all 4 . It'll run like new.Don't overload drawer .That can cause lid leak too. Also the PC board may be damaged and may start to go crazy giving fake F1 codes.$80 easy fix.
good luck

Have a rental property with F&P two draw dishwasher aprox five years old. Apparently bottom draw is holding water - what do you think?

Could be many reasons for the bottom drawer to hold water.

It could be leaky top drawer causing water to collect in the bottom drawer. Check if water collects when top drawer is running.

It could be blockage in the bottom drawer drainage which can be fixed by cleaning the filter plate and the drain sump. If the drain pump is not running during drain cycle then you will have to replace the drain pump motor.

When running one draw water collects in unused drawer

I would recommend that you check the dishwasher installation instructions to check if the water inlet and outlet are properly set up. Look at page 4.

If this is happening only with bottom drawer after top drawer is run, then it could be a leaking door seal. But if it happens with both drawers, then it is a bit un usual and could be due to a backflow in the drain hose.

If you are using inskerator in the sink, then make sure it is not filled up.

Hope this helps.

Appliance: Fisher&Paykel DD603 Draining

You may want to check up if the water collects in the bottom drawer when the top drawer is in wash cycle (ie, taking water from the inlet) or during the drain cycle when it is draining water out. Leave the bottom drawer open and check while the top drawer is running.

Bottom drawer drains into top drawer

I can offer a PERMANENT fix for this! That machine has never been installed properly since day 1 I would bet, and a series of techs have come thru unable to fix it right, or they keep selling you those "flappers" that fix the issue for a short period of time.
The way to fix cross-draining fisher paykel dishdrawers is to install a dual-air gap. You can get them from fisherpaykelparts.net here: http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net/index.php?categoryid=113&productid=7

Install one of those and the machine will work better than it ever has!!
