My phone makes the proper sounds to notify text messages and other alerts, but does NOT make any noise or vibrate upon receiving an incoming call. It appears to be set up to ring, but it does not!!!Can you help me?

Click the volume button on the side of the phone then use the touch screen to slide the reciever slider to your preferred level then test it by calling.

This most likely has to do with the sound profile that you currently have set. Go into the sound options, see if there is a detailed option available to increase/decrease the ring volume or vibration.
Some phones have the option to turn on an alert and vibration for text/incoming call.s
Settings In this menu, you can adjust various phone settings. To reset some menu settings to their default values, select Restore factory set. Tone settings Select Menu > Settings > Tone settings and from the available options: Ringing tone-To set the tone for incoming calls Ringing volume-To set the volume level for the ringing and message alert tones. If you set Ringing volume to be level 2 or above, your phone rings with the ringing volume ascending from level 1 to the level you have set when there is an incoming call. Vibrating alert-To set the phone to vibrate when you receive a call or a text message Message alert tone-To set the tone to sound when you receive a text message Warning tones-To set the phone to sound tones, for example, when the battery is running out of power
Go into you text setting on your phone and select the option that you wish to have for you alert for receiving text messages, or consult your manual that you got with the cell phone on how to set the text alert message signaling.
Mine does work after all. You can't make it vibrate but it will make a sound every five minutes after a missed call/text. The only problem is that the audible sound isn't very loud and I see no way of increasing the volume for it. I just assumed it didn't work because apparently it was too low for me to hear at the time. BUT IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING!!! I'm just glad it works. Make sure your message reminder is set to "ON". Go to --->TOOLS & SETTINGS>SETTINGS>MESSAGING>MESSAGE SOUNDS>MESSAGE REMINDER> CHOOSE ON OR OFF. To test it.. Send a text to your phone but don't acknowledge or touch any buttons. Wait 5 minutes and your phone should make an alert noise. Keep the phone near you the whole time so you don't miss it. It will continue to alert you every 5 minutes until you acknowledge it.
My phone makes a weird noise when I don't get a text. I don't know where they go but, for some reason it sounds an alarm when texts are not recv'd. It took me awhile to realize that it was notifying me that an incoming text was not recv'd. I am not sure why this is a feature because, it does not notify you whose message did not get sent to your phone
Set your appointment through your calendar. It will indicate when you wished to be notified and how long you want to be notified. If your worried about the sound of the alert when you receive your appointment notification, then change the default sound within your settings.
