Once connected by usb you have to go onto the psp root and should find a folder called THEME place the file into there but older firmware versions do not support themes after placed the themes in the folder disconnect the psp and on the settings menu of the psp go on display - themes and select the theme there

Themes that i downloaded, where should i put it??because i putted it in the themes but it is not there when i want to use it as my theme

You have to first download the theme off your computer, you cant get it from your psp's web browser. Then after you connect the psp to your pc, you have to make a new folder in the root of your psp memory card named "THEME". All you have to copy into the THEME folder is the .ptf file. The .ptf file is the theme. Then after you should be able to see it in your psp. Hope I helped!

Ctf, ptf, xmb? themes

Safest is to use the .PTF themes .Connect your PSP to the COMP and browse through PSP> THEME and put the .PTF theme in  THEME directory.
Change your Themes through Settings > Theme Settings >

I need help

To use the .CTF Themes you need to download the plugin called cxmb.prx

1. Download the plugin (cxmb.prx)
2. Extract the file and place into root of your MS0:/
3. Put the theme file (any name you like :)) under MS0:/PSP/THEME/
4. Enable cxmb.prx in Recovery (under VSH)
5. Go to Settings -> Theme Settings -> Theme to select your CTF themes
6. System will reboot to take effect

To Use the .PTF Themes download it first then put it inside ms:/PSP/THEME. if the folder is not there please create it. To apply the theme on your PSP, go to “Settings” => “Theme Settings” => “Theme”.

Themes

Hi, first of all you DO NOT need custom firmware to install themes onto your psp, you need a firmware 3.71 or later to do it. First of all go to a theme site E.G http://www.psp-themes.net/ select a theme you want and download it to your computer. then connect your psp to your pc. open the psp files, go PSP, then there should be a folder called THEME. copy the theme you downloaded and viola. this is the folders in psp memory stick: bf57d12.jpg
the theme file must be .ptf Hope this helps.

Ctf file wont work on my psp. but the site where i got my ctf file theme says that it works on psp 3.71 m33 version. my psp is 3.71 m33 version. why does it not work? what will i do?

you can try to check your ctf file using another psp,and see if it'll work.if it doesn't then the ctf file is the problem, you need to download and re-install it again, see how it goes.if still no dice,i suggest you try to look for other similar files to use on your psp.or you might want to upgrade your psp to 3.90 m33-2 at least to enjoy more options as far as themes is concerned especially the custom XMB themes (cxmb).if you have time you can check this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/kr2008 .no guarantees, hope this helps.

Can't find themes

create a folder with name "THEME" under the folder 'PSP' in your memory card, then try to drag your downloaded ptf files into the "THEME" folder.
