my 20GB color screen iPOD shows wall plug since I tried to restore it.
I plugged it into USB charger (not apple one) and still same icon on display.

  • Anonymous Apr 21, 2009

Display shows wall plug icon. Reset simply restores the same display after a short delay. Not recognized by Windows XP, USB ports working perfectly. Brand new battery. Hard drive good in another ipod. 5rs don't work. I have 2 ipods with exactly the same problem. Both came up with the update notice through iTunes and went through the update process. Now both won't respond. Just the wall plug icon. Charged all night with wall charger. No change. Help.

My Altec Lansing Inmotion used to charge my Ipod Touch, but since yesterdag (after not using it for 3 weeks) it won't charge my Ipod anymore. The Altec charges itself, but somehow the Ipod doesn't. It is...

That is a tough one. Is your iPod fully seated -- will it play music in the im600? Have you tried a different iPod in the im600 to see if it charges? Does your iPod recharge normally in other players, in a wall charger and your computer? If not, your iPod could possibly need a new battery.
Also: since it was unplugged for 3 weeks, you may just need to run the im600 through a full cycle or two (let the FM radio play until the battery is dead, with no iPod in it), then recharge the im600 for 5 or 6 hours, and THEN mount your iPod into it and see if it charges it. Be sure to unplug/plug-in the adapter into the im600 to ensure it is getting full power from the wall outlet. One last thing: the im600 will only charge the iPod when it is plugged into AC power; it won't charge the iPod while it's running on its own battery power. Good luck!

I reset the my ipod just like the apple web site said. Then it showed a power cord going 2 an outlet from the wall. So i plugged it in the wall. It still showed it. Then I pressed the menu and center...

You must have a 3rd or 4th gen Ipod. It should not do this with a reset. If you reformat it through Itune , then it will. The plug into a power outlet means it is trying to reformat. If it will not, your hard drive is corupted or logic board. If it is the hard drive and you can get it to show on your computer, you can go to your disc utilities and erase the hard drive by writing zeros. then connect to Itunes and reformate. Plug into a power wall charger and it should complete. You need a good charge in your battery. If your battery is not charging or needs to charge , that will stop it from completing a reformat. I hope this helps.

My Ipod touch backlight doesnt work, it slipped into my cats water dish, the light worked for about an hour but then stayed dim. can anyone help me?

You got water damage which voids your 1 year warranty for a free replacement, so your only alternative is to get a ziplock bag and throw your ipod in it. Then fill that ****** up with rice. Brown, white, long grain, jasmine, or Uncle Bens. You pick it doesn't matter. Seal that bag up and let your ipod remain buried for a week. The rice will **** up every bit of moisture in the ipod. Your ipod will be as dry as the Mohave desert after a week. See if that will help you out.

If your still pissed, then go on to you tube and find the shady Hispanic guy who will show you ways to beat the system and get your ipod exchanged for a brand spankin new one.

hey mr /ms

i hope i can be helpfull ..so plez tell me if the solution doesn t work ..and don t forget to rate me plez

Solution #1: Check the power cord at both ends. It might have been pulled out of the wall when you vacuumed last week, or the end that plugs into the printer might have come loose. If it did, plug it back in. If this is a new installation, make sure you didn't plug it into a power outlet that's connected to a wall switch. If the outlet is mounted upside down (the ground plug or "third prong" is at the top), it's a switched outlet.

Solution #2: It might be a blown fuse on the power supply. All dot matrix printers have fuses, and on most printers, the fuse is located next to the power cord under a small black cap that you turn slightly and then pull off. If it is the fuse (you'll see a melted piece of metal inside), replace it with the exact same fuse type. Radio Shack and your corner electron...

Ipod show plug in

This is the result of a firmware update.

You need to plug it into an Apple wall charger rather than a generic USB charger in order to complete the firmware update.

If you have used an Apple charger already then take your iPod to an Apple store as they can remedy this.

Ipod only shows outlet

You could try resetting the ipod. On my ipod photo, you have to turn the hold switch on then off, then hold down the Menu and select buttons for 10 sec's. It takes a few tries :>.

Help hadedplug ipod in computer all i see is a battery 1/4 s

If you have a friend with a FIREWIRE plug (wall outlet) try to use that to charge your iPod. If this doesn't work try to put your iPod in DISK MODE and RESTORE using iTunes. SEE THE COMMENT POSTED by : Comment by Check7734, posted on Jan 25, 2008
