I have a fridge inside my basement bar that stays on and freezes everything inside (pop, milk, beer). The fridge is enclosed in a cabinet; there is no more than 1/2 an inch on both sides, probably 3-4 inches of space in the back. Is the lack of "breathing room" the issue? Or do I have sensor/control issues, OR something else? Thanks

My fridge does the same thing every few weeks, more often lately. It is not enclosed, so I agree it is not a question of breathing space. Suspect it is a broken thermostat.
It has a control knob inside the fridge to set the temp. I think I read somewhere else that this may be the "cold control" - is it worth it to replace, or would it cost the same to buy a new cheap small fridge?
I have the same problem. Manual dial temp control. If you turn the control to Min, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, it doesn't seem to matter. Once the compressor turns on, it is on all the time and the food freezes. Sounds like a temp control problem. Can this part be replaced?
