Had this problem with my burr grinder, coffee (or something else) is clogged between the burrs and the output chute, so new coffee can't feed in from above. You can try a few things:

1. Unplug and try to dislodge the blockage from underneath with a toothpick.
2. Disassemble and remove the blockage.
3. I've had luck with drizzling a little bit of cooking oil on to the burrs, letting it soak in a while, then running it, the clumped coffee came loose. It made a terrible mess in the bin, but I ran a couple cups of beans through and it cleaned up the oil.

Good luck~

Why does ground coffee not go thru shoot

If using Beans; it is set to fine and due to static it sticks - OR you have a blockage..

If you are putting ground coffee into a grinder; the static will be a bigger issue and in addition there is no weight from the beans to press the grinds into the burrs. A bean grinder is not ment to grind beans that have already been ground.

Get a better grinder and do not buy supermarket beans.

The grinder on my DeLonghi seems to be stuck. It makes only a noise but not s bean is ground and one can hear it is not turning. Any solutions? Thank you

Likely a foreign object is blocking up the grinder. Remove all beans and run at coarsest grind to try to clear it, chase it through with more beans if necessary. If this does not clear it then the top burr of the grinder assembly can be removed after disassembling the machine. Mark the grinder coarseness cogs before moving them to assist reassembly. Moderately difficult procedure.

I am looking for a new blade for this product. Do you have them and what is the cost?

Compare the price of a new blade versus a new BURR grinder.

BURR grinders are more consistent for grinding coffee, blade grinders, you have to guess and some grounds will be finer than others.

This is the reason you don't see a BLADE coffee grinder for commercial applications.

There are some good home burr grinders (some with a timer) and not that expensive.

All of sudden my grinder plugs up. coffee settles in around the base of the burr and does not seem to fall into the grind bucket, so the machine still runs but grinding basically stops as no more more...

This fixes almost all the "beans will not feed or beans will not grind" problems caused by coffee bean dust packed in the burrs. Oily beans cause this problem more fequently.
a. Pour all the beans out the top.
b. Open the settings up all the way and see what else can be poured out. Use your shop vacuum to **** grounds out the spout and backward out the bean bin.
c. Pour in some instant rice and start grinding. Reduce the grind to a small setting like six and then open the settings all the way again. (The grinder will not start at a low setting with the rice in it. If you let it stop, open the settings to about 16 before trying to restart.)
d. Pour out the rice and vacuum out the ground rice.
e. Adjust the grinder to your favorite setting and try a coffee grind. Grind until most of the rice dust is expelled (any remaining trace of rice dust will not affect the flavor of the coffee).

My Barista Burr Coffee Grinder suddenly grinds too fine.

If it is any consolation, mine just did the same thing, now takes too long to grind and it is way to fine dispite a thorough cleaning by disassembly.

Won't come on?

I just bought a brand new unit and as recommended I unscrewed the top bean hopper and the coffee ground container-cleaned and wiped. After that I screwed back everything and tried to grind some beans. The timer was ticking away but the grinder just refused to start.I switched off the main and unscrewed the hopper and carefully screwed it back.Halfway through,I noticed and felt that you must balanced and screwed it with a smooth movement until the the whole piece is in place. The grinder just started without a hitch. This grinder has a protection circuit whereby if any part is not properly installed it will not start.
