Your password is not stored in BIOS.
it is stored on a IC called EEPROM
and it is soldered to the motherboard.
it cant be reset at all with conventional
methods. but it can be done
with shortcut jumper.(not recommended )
if you dont have earlier experiense.
If you are the legit first owner call DELL
they will give you MASTER PASSWORD

But remember only if u are the first legit owner!

Bios password
First would try to reset BIOS by removing CMOS batter. If removing CMOS battery did not help, you need to do the BIOS reset from jumper on motherboard.

BIOS passwords for dell laptops require you to contact Dell technical support if you forget the password. they will generate a master password depending on the type of BIOS password. you cannot reset it by removing the CMOS battery.

Please open your cpu in motherboard there is one mini cell is attached and it remove half and hour and then attached the cell in motherboard and then start your pc it will be unlock your bios passward.

Need to unlock d505 latitude laptop
If you have forgotten your BIOS or Hard Drive Password for this model, there is a master code that you can obtain from Dell Support. Simply call, Email, or use Online Chat from http://support.dell.com and give them your Service Tag, and they can help your out from there. If it is a Windows profile password you have forgotton, try accessing the Administrator account from Safe Mode, and remove the password for the user account locked out.

The only way is this...
>> remove the computer case
>> you will find a CELL battery fixed into the main circuit board(motherboard)
>> Clip it out the battery and wait for about 10 seconds
Sometimes you will be done..but in some models removing the battery wont be sufficient..theres another jumper you have to remove
