AUDIO SOUNDS LIKE IT IS UNDERWATER

Hi I have a problem with the audio! Have tried several new headsets - no success. They don't seem able to get a proper connection with out holding them in place at a certain angle. When it does connect it is choppy and sounds like it is underwater. It has not been dropped in water. Hoping someone can help me, as this is a replacement for my first one that had exactly the same problem. Thanking you in advance.

Laptop battery died; even after replacing, ever since, audio is not working.

Hi ,
It can't be a driver issue since you can get audio with your headset . So , we are left with dead speakers who need to be replaced or completed by an external set .

Polaroid TV – Model # 02611C FR8G-1188-1206 was working find, picture and audio, then I plugged a Radio Shack wireless headset in and it turned the audio off. I unplugged the headset, restarted the tv,...

Good day!!!!

There's a possibility that the sound board got faulty after you plug the headset..But before we decide to replaced the sound board lets make some observation and initial repair..

Lets see the screen of your TV having headset icon,,if have try to power off your TV and find the headset female connector on your TV then blow air on the connector using compressor or if you don't have compressor the human air blow is enough..

And also I want you to try other ordinary headset with a very low volume of TV to avoid damage of headset..If you hear sounds of headset the sound board is good..

Try those procedure and let me know the info..

Just keep on touch to me and I will do my best to help you because that is my primary goal here in fixya,to help people like you..

Hi, Recently I bought Plantronics MHS123 Stereo Mobile Headphones/Headset. I have tested with audio tracks from computer and portable mp3 player. I have problem with the right ear bud and no volume is...

This sounds like a definite problem of the headphones themselves. What I would suggest for you to do is to get into contact with their customer support. They have 24-hour support available by calling 1-888-PLANTRONICS. I have actually had a similar experience with a pair of their headphones and I called them up. They were very kind and helpful and had a replacement set shipped out to me right away. Good luck!

New user with Blue Parrot B250XT headset. Using it on Skype and PC with iogear bluetooth dongle, all seems to be properly configured. Tested the audio quality from the microphone and it is garbled. ...

Hi there,
It seems that there is a physical problem with the microphone of that headset, It rarely happens but it does, even brand new units sometimes would have defects.
In windows there is a sound recorder feature that you can use so you can try recording your voice from the headset and check if it will be garbled.
you can also test the device on another equipment, Pair it on a mobile phone that is bluetooth capable and try calling or receive a call and check if the same result would appear.
If the same happens for all these steps, if you have just bought the headset you would want to bring it back and ask for a replacement unit or a refund and get a different model.
Hope this helps!

My new headset

If you are using windows XP -- as unreal as it sounds just plug the device in and allow the Plut and Play installer to do it's thing -- it will appear as a device without a driver (in the device management list) but it will generally work. I have tried it on an HP machine and the control panel for sound and audio devices voice tab (as well as the audio tab) needs to be set to the plantronics device, too -- if you use the sound icon in the system tray the device seems to reset periodically to the one in the sound and audio control panel (just learned yesterday). The headset control on the wire -- the mute button (red illuminated button) has ceased to work for some time (possibly around the Service Pack 2 update) but the volume control does seem to work.

Acer aspire laptop seems to be missing audio drivers

go to acer,
click on america, click on drivers & downloads, product line = notebook, product = aspire 3680... you will want to download the audio driver if using xp or the realtek hi def audio driver if using vista.

as far as the mkv support, VLC (video lan player) supports matroska pretty well, you can also download the CCCP playback pack of codecs to support mkv in pretty much any directshow player (media player, media player classic, winamp, etc)
