Any Bluetooth device should be detectable by another Bluetooth device, regardless of their Bluetooth class. The issue will only come in once you pair the device.

There could be a possibility that the headset is not set to "discoverable mode" or "pairing mode". Or the two devices could be away from the required distance.

3 meters is the required distance for two class 1 Bluetooth devices.

If the headset is in pairing mode and in the required distance, make sure that there's no other Bluetooth device that's connected to the phone.

Then, turn both devices (phone and headset) off, and try searching again.

If same problem occur, try detecting a known working headset. And if the phone does detect it, then you need to contact the manufacturer of the headset for second opinion.

Thank you!

Make sure that the headset is properly charged before following the instructions below. Please follow the detailed instructions in the correct manner to successfully pair your Nokia E71 with the BH-208 Headset.
Charge the battery

The headset has an internal, non removable, rechargeable battery.Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device, as you may damage the device.
1. Connect the charger to a wall outlet.
2. Connect the charger cable to the charger connector. The red indicator light is on while charging.
It may take a while before charging
Switch the headset on or off
To switch on, press and hold the power key until the headset beeps and the green indicator light is displayed. To switch off, press and hold the power key until the headset beeps and the red indicator light is displayed briefly.
Pairing the headset
1. Ensure that your phone is switched on and the headset is switched off.
2. Press and hold the power key until the green indicator light starts to flash quickly.
3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices.

Can i have how to connect Nokia BH-214 bluetooth headset pair in acer laptop(Asper5742)

from OFF state of your BH-214, press power button until LED flashes quickly,do not unhold, stay holding & press power button until LED flashes red & blue alternately slowly. On ur PC,->Add new device, then your PC would detect BH-214 as headset. I used Toshiba Bluetooth stack v7.00.10(T) driver Win7x64 (search in google to download the installer), work fine with my BH-214 to connect with PC (A2DP 1.2 (btooth audio profile) & AVRCP (player navigation control profile)) & at the same time with my phone (HFP, HandsFree profile). Applied CSR bluetooth dongle 2.0, got from store for only $2.50.

NOT CONNECT TO MY MOBILE PHONE

you have to check the compatiblity of this device with yout cell phone.

Connectivity Bluetooth version
  • 2.1 with enhanced data rate (EDR)

Bluetooth profiles
  • Handsfree profile (HFP) 1.5
  • Headset profile (HSP) 1.1
if your cell phone has the above features then follow the undermentioned steps.

you need to search for the device by starting a new search after switching on the bluetooth and make sure that the bluetooth headset BH-104 is switched on.

once the search is completed and your device is found then pair it.

after pairing the device you can use it.
