You don't really "change" the filter. You just clean it. There is a screen filter on the bottom of the oil pump that serves to do a basic filter of the oil going into the oil pump. The real "filter is a centrifugal filter on the right end of the crankshaft. The spinning filter forces the heavy dirt particles to the inner rim of the filter where they build up to a somewhat solid mass. A screw driver pushed into the mass will break the dirt up and when most of the dirt mass is removed, a can of carb cleaner can finish the job. Only minor dis-assembly of the filter is needed to clean it. There is no need to actually remove the filter from the crankshaft.

for sure drain and replace the fuel,, oil change with filter,, and be ready to replace old brittle gaskets,, the carbs and needles will more than likely have to be cleaned if you have them,,

Need to know what part number is and description of solenoid for 1971 cb350

Any 12 volt solenoid will work. Yamaha has one for about $35 that is about the same size. It just has to have the two battery post terminals and two activator wires ( you may have to change the plug ends). OEM part # was 30580-306-670 starter magnetic switch assembly
