Hello,
My Canon Powershot A310 is now sometimes displaying images, sometimes (most times) not on the viewing screen. The lens cover is moved away from the lens when I attempt to photograph. Attempts to take pictures will sometimes result in a picture, most of the times not. I've replaced batteries but this does not help in any way. What do I do to fix this? I turn it on and it will display an image on the screen for a few seconds and then that will go black and any shots taken will come out black as well.
This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.
