I am trying to hook my PC to my HDTV. I both a cable VGA/SVGA cable to do that. I am having problems trying to see my pc screen on the tv, what can I do to make it work.

Check your TV manual to see which EXT to output the signal, use a TV set up wizard such as the one in windows media center or simply right click on the desktop and enter display properties and set up your external monitor.

First turn off TV+PC. Then switch on TV only.Press TV/AV on your remote to AV2 or .. Now switch on your PC. It will detect your TV as a new hardware & install the drivers automatically. You can use options from your graphic card later such as dual monitor or clone monitor..

You can use the TV's VGA port which needs a VGA cable which you can get from a computer hardware store. It's called RGB in on your TV. This is also called PC input.The max resolution you will get is 1,366x768 off your PC.

Look in the manual for the TV and determine which platform is supported. VGA, XVGA, SVGA etc. Set your computer output to the proper mode and the unit should work. Let me know how you make out.

you should be able to use an SVGA to component rca connector on any component input - i have a wd-65513, and thats how I have my pc hooked up to it. I could also never get a clear picture using the SVGA plug on the back of the set.

I dont believe that you can hook that model up to a TV you have to have a certin video output and it also would depend on your tv as well. But i am about 100% sure that series does not have the output you need you usally can connect via S-cable

Hooking up hp pavillion dv9000 to48'' LG HDTV with vga/svga cable

Any settings for resolution are fine but ideal setting are 1024x768 or 1024x800. To change the resolution just right-click on your desktop background>properties>settings and then use the slider under screen resolution to whatever you want and click on apply then ok
