Hi I have a n95 from nokia...the trouble is that while i am messaging my messages takes about two minutes to go...and the dull "sending message "keeps flashing on the display....my phone too is really slow....i have updated my firmware to v20....there are hardly any images or songs stored...my memory card is practically empty and so is the phone...yet my phone keeps saying message memory full....
I think your phone is infected of any virus that can eat memory...you get that virus from connecting your n95 to pc. my advice is you should scan your phone ... or install a anti virus in your phone.

for sending text messages :
1. call to your network operator customer care 2. request the message center number... 3.note it down 4. go to message settings>message center number 5. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ... Good luck
If you have done a back up of your phone prior to update your Nokia N95 system, then simply connect your Nokia through the Connection Manager, and use the restore function. Doing this will restore all the files that were backed up before.
In regards to your contacts, your SIM card should have copies of your contacts saved on it. This can be done by going to Contacts > Options > SIM Contact > Sim Directory and just copy all the contacts to your phone.
Unfortunately there is no other methods to restore messages and contacts, if you haven't backed up prior to the system update and saved contacts to your SIM card. Just remember to do a regular backup and always copy contacts to your SIM card.
check the buttun or keys maybe some key pressing down.. what or try to remove the keypad then observe the it.. if the same problem bring to the shop to fix for you
I'm also face the same problem with my nokia. this things happening when your memory card get corrupt. you can avoid this trouble temperally formating your memory card. after that problem persist change your memory card to a new one.
Sounds like maybe the update wasn't as successful as it says it was.
Try the update again, and see if it completes.
I have an N95 and had a few problems with mine, I ended up sending mine back to Nokia for repair.
If your update wont complete, or start, get on the phone to the shop you bought it from because they'll liaise with Nokia. If you bought it elsewhere, get straight onto Nokia yourself here
