It sounds like a faulty video card. Do you get any display when you push the power button?

i had to reinstall the operating system and unfortunatly this meant losing all data on the laptop, but i was lucky that all was backed up on external hd.

I have a separate fax line for my Canon MX310. It goes into fax mode but noting happens. I also cannot receive faxes.

The only reason to call the phone company is if you're not getting a dial tone on that line. Otherwise, have you shut down the printer and tried to reset it to factory defaults. To do that, follow the instructions below:
  • 1 Switch the Canon MX310 off using the "Power" button, then push the "Stop/Reset" button on the control panel. Hold the button down for about five seconds.
  • 2 Push the "Power" button while holding "Stop/Reset." Hold down both buttons for five seconds.
  • 3 Release "Stop/Reset" while holding down the "Power" button.
  • 4 Push "Stop/Reset" twice while continuing to hold the "Power" button. Release the "Power" button. The power light will turn green.
  • 5 Once the light is steady green, push "Stop/Reset." Wait about three seconds and push it again. Wait three more seconds and push it one final time, for a total of three times. The power light will turn orange.
  • 6 Push the "Power" button, then lift the MX310 cover open.
  • 7 Remove both ink cartridges and wait 10 seconds. Replace the cartridges and close the MX310 cover. Wait 30 seconds.
  • 8 Push the "Power" button. Wait a few seconds to allow the printer to fully power down, then switch the Canon MX310 back on using the "Power" button.

Acer extensa 4420 shuts down right after you push power button

sounds like it doesn't have enough power, is it completely charged? you may want to make sure you're getting power from the charger itself.

I need to know how to reset my printer, I 've cleaned the pads, but nothing... Thank you in advance...

Power down the Canon Pixma IP4300. Once it has shut down, leave it off for a few moments.
Hold down both the "Resume" button and the "Power Button." When the printer begins to restart, release the "Resume" button but continue pressing "Power."
Push in the "Resume" button twice, then let go of both the buttons. In a moment, a green light flashes a few times.
Press the "Resume" button four times once the green flashing has finished.
Push the "Power" button again until the printer shuts down. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the device. The Canon Pixma IP4300 will now function properly. for more information http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/67824 hope this helps you.

I press the power button, and it lights up and I

ok so in this situation you need to call sony. its broken, but there have been reports of people "roughing up" their ps3's to get them to work, try unplugging everything, and flipping the power switch to off, on your ps3, then plugging it all back in and turn the witch on, they say after about the 4th to 5th try you can get it to boot up, my suggestion is to never turn it off after that, but dont hold me accountable for whatever happens. this is what ive read on the internet

Will not start up

If it's not beeping during the first start up then it's not POSTing.  Beep means everything connected to it seems to be functional ie PnP
Try pulling out your memory and reseating it.   Try pulling out your battery for 5 minutes then plug in ac(without batt) and see if it will boot.  Try pulling your hard drive and reseat.  (access by covers on bottom...dont be scared. Touch something that's grounded just before you remove) If all this and still no full POST(with beep/s) then sounds like a new mobo or processor.
