When you changed the heater did you make sure you also changed out the temp sensor cause most of the time calciun builds up an is the reason for both the heater an sensor to fail calcium is ok at temps above 93.6 degrees but as soon as the temp drops below this point it will come out of solution an start to harden on the element an sensor.Always make sure to that you are getting power from the spa pack to the heater check for voltage at the main leads on the heater just because it says its on does not always mean you are getting power to the heater.Always remember with spas the problem lies where the power dies.sometimes it can even be your main top side controls they can go bad an indicate the heat is on but will not relay that to the heater.make sure you got the correct kilowatt heater also an that you have the correct one in terms of 240v or 110v also from the thousands of heaters i have replaced in spas over the years i always check to see if i am getting the correct omhs reading before i install them should be around 8-10 for a 110 an 12-13 for a 240

If you still have your old heater do a ohms reading if you are getting the corect reading it might of not be the heater that went bad both the t-stat sensor and high limit can cause no heat. But in most cases if the heater is good an still no heat it a power issue if the reset has been reset also if not heating from the low speed from your pump an is using a circ pump make sure that its still good cause u can hit the reset an it will start to heat but the tripp again a minute later. But first start at the powr going into the spa at the heater term on the circuit board then move on from there u might get power going into the spa but the on n off relay on the board could of went so then look for power at the heater if u have power at the board but no power at the heater then most likely its the board that went bad if no power at the board make sure your 30amp breaker is still good cause alot of 30amp gfci breaker especialy seimens can burn up an then it will not send the power from the house into the shut off box to the spa.The other cause for no power at the board could be the result of a bad main topside controls they tend to use cheap ribbon cable that go bad you will still get a heat indicator light come on but the topside controls will not send the singal to the board to turn on the heat even the mainn controls have a little circuit board that relays imfo to the main circuit board also mice love to eat the ribbon cables an one tiny tear can cause this to happen good luck

Can Jacuzzi Rapid Heat inline heater be installed upside down?

You do not want to install any heater upside down because if any debris gets inside the heater pressure switch while it is running it will NOT shut off once the pump shuts off.

MY JACUZZI DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY PLACE TO PUT A HEATER AND IT IS TOO COLD HERE TO USE IT VERY MUCH. IT IS AN OLDER MODEL. IS THERE A HEATER THAT WE COULD USE TO PUT HEAT IN OUR JACUZZI. AM I MISSING...

In line heaters will not HEAT the water, they will only maintain the temperature inside the tub within a few degrees. You should not try to install the heater yourself, it would be best to have a plumber come over and give you a quote on how much it would be to install it. A plumber can look at the tub, see if there is a place that the heater can be CUT IN to the pipes, and install it. You likely won't get it to work. The inline heaters are required to be put on a GFCI circuit because they are powered in a wet environment. Unless your tub is not hardwired in to the house, and you actually have a GFCI circuit under the tub. But like I said, these do not heat the tub, they only maintain. And the life of these is not very long if you use soaps and shampoos in the tub while the heater is on. It won't take any time at all for the oils to build up on the elements, rendering it useless.

Hello, a few months ago I installed a jacuzzi tub with a Rapid Heat heater. I'd like to clean the tub either by the bleach/detergent method or the granule cleaning packet method. My question is should I...

Any recommended (see the tub instructions) cleaning product should be fine in the heater -- and the higher temperature of the "cleaning solution" should enhance the process. Just be sure to flush the tub's entire system with clean water before you bathe in it again!

I have an older Jacuzzi with 4 corner spa jets. There is no inline heater in it. Since it takes about 180 gallons of water to fill it I would like to add an inline heater so that the heat can be maintained...

I have the same problem. I talked to Jacuzzi technical support and they said that they don't sell a product that will retrofit (they make the couplings a custom size to prevent this.) It's really a drag since I really don't want to install a whole new tub just to maintain water temperature. I haven't given up so if you found a solution please post.

The bath heater you have is not designed to HEAT water - they only Maintain what you start with.
You need to start the bathtub with the hot water you want. It will only heat about 1-2 degrees an hour.

Rapid Heater for Jacuzzi

The light is supposed to be on when the tub is full of water and the pump comes on. Make sure the heater is plugged into a seperate breaker, it cannot be on the same line as the pump.
Look on the heater for a label. If your heater is installed on the discharge side of the pump it should say "pressure heater" on it. If it is installed in front of the pump it should say "Vacuum Heater" on it.
Once installed, fill the tub with water and turn the pump on. If it is installed in the correct position the light will come on when the pump turns on.

Rapid Heat Bath Heater - indicator light on but not heating water

Bathtub heaters will not produce the heat out a the jets like you would feel coming out of a return jet in a swimming pool.
Bathtub heaters will ONLY maintain whatever temperature water you put in there. they only heat 1-2 degrees an hour. that is for a 1500 watt heater. Many heaters today are only 650 watt or perhaps 700 watt.
