Hi Cecil, The link below is a short YouTube video showing how to rest the pattern code on your phone/tablet, The guy shows 3 ways but the 3rd way is a factory reset meaning you loose everything in your phone but the first two ways are worth watching. Please switch off your Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 phone and putout the battery from phone after few minuts again insert the battery into the phone and switch on it. I believe your problem will be shout out.

the LCD is a very complicating device for all CP. you may check it by disassemble it to it's LCD and connect the ribbon wire/flex of the LCD firmly... but this problem is best to replace it with a new LCD... very complicated device indeed

the phone is not faulty. Its only responding to the dropping on the hard surface.

The screen of your phone as started malfunctioning.

It is possible that you hit it on a hard surface. all the same, it also possible that the screen is not well tighten to the panel of your phone.

Get a torx 6 screw driver, switch off the phone,remove the battery cover of your phone,the battery and sim card. turn the phone over and remove the front casing of your phone, use the torx 6 screw driver to tighten up all the screws on the screen to the panel very well and couple back yor phone.

Put back the sim and battery and switch on, if the screen did not still display, it means the screen of your phone is bad.

The problem is the screen, the screen is faulty and will need to be replace if you want it to display back as you use to have it.

All you will need to do is to get a get a brand new screen on your phone and i advice you go with the phone in other to get the exact screen and a working screen.

Try reset your phone, if your don't want to lose your data you can use the soft reset or Hard reset to restore to factory default.

Do you have an X1? If so, you should be able to use it with a PC. Try talking into the mic with your X1 connected to the PC. Does it echo there too? If not (and it shouldn't) then you probably only need to replace the chat-controller cable with a new one. Those are available for sale on the Turtle Beach website (www.turtlebeach.com). hard rest factory default settings = when ur set is switched off press both buttons call and end key and then press power button on upside of pda for like 5 sec screen will appear asking to format all data take out ur card if u dont want to format that now confirm by pressing the centre action button in 4 side joystick and go

if not solved then go to www.htc.com for latest Rom update downlaod and update backup ur data first
