Yes the problem is with your internal battery..don't take the risk to replace it yourself..contact your customer support or the shop where you bought it.

Stops? sound kind of odd.. I do know that if a computers RTC battery is dead, and you pull out the battery as well as the power cord and leave it for say 5 minutes, the time and date should reset (i.e. to a past time way back).

But your computer's only about 3 years old and a the RTC clock battery should last much longer than that. I've only seen dead RTCs on computers older than ATLEAST 10 years.

If I was you I'd check it for virus/malware/root kits, since something appears to be messing with your Real Time Clock.

Channel Master DVR clock loses time . is there a battery replacement procedure needed ?

It's possible that the DVR's internal battery is losing charge, causing the clock to lose time. Typically, DVRs use a small lithium battery to power the clock and other internal functions. Over time, this battery can lose its charge or fail entirely, which can cause the clock to lose time or reset completely.
To replace the battery in your Channel Master DVR, you'll need to open up the device and locate the battery. Depending on the model of your DVR, the battery may be easily accessible or it may be hidden inside the device. You may want to refer to the user manual or contact Channel Master for specific instructions on how to replace the battery in your model.
Once you've located the battery, you can replace it with a new one of the same type. Lithium coin batteries are a common type used in electronics, so you should be able to find a suitable replacement at most electronics stores. After replacing the battery, you may need to reset the clock and other settings on your DVR.

My acer 5745 laptop get hang while charging.why?

Hi, Do this, Let the battery charge over night and see how it performs in the morning. It could be the battery is on it's way out. Replace with a new one soon. There is another battery a smaller one that keeps the clock and some programs running even when it is turned off.. But that should be ok.
You could try shutting down some programs when you work. Click on task manager and see how many program are running. But do not shut down system programs if you do, you may get into more trouble. Good luck.

My Canon SD950is camera asks me to submit time/date info every time I turn on the camera. The manual says this means the internal battery is depleted and needs to be recharged. I have a fully charged...

Yes I get something similar with my Panasonic camera just because I take the battery out when the camera is waiting for the next outing, but it is ok as soon as I set the clock and if I leave the battery in. From what you said then perhaps the internal battery is faulty but if you don't usually leave the battery in, you could try leaving the battery in for a few days to see if that restores some power to the internal battery.

I have Aspire T300 and now I power off the PC then turn off at the powerpoint - On start-up the next day the time clock has stopped and check settings and calender is stopped - any clues?

Yes, your little onboard battery that keeps the CMOS backed up has probably gone flat.  The PC needs to be opened up to replace this little flat shaped battery.

How to I change the battery on my acer aspireL100

First, ensure that your power adaptor is consistantly powering your system and watch for intermittant operation with the adaptors green light. (This rules out cord breaks for shorts)

Second, all laptops have a removable battery: You can find a replacement at http://www.kahlon.com/batteries.asp

Laptop batteires serve to power your CMOS (Carbon Metal Oxide Semiconductor) on your laptop, and keeps your internal BIOS clock accurate. On Desktops, it's a lithium battery on the mainboard.

Also, check to ensure that you do not have a battery recall on the unit as well, as you may be able to get a free replacement.

If your clock is off by a few minutes, change time servers in the windows clock option. Just double click the time on the task bar, click internet time, and you can this one if you don't have it listed: nist.expertsmi.com Some are overloaded due to requests. That should keep you with arc seconds on the actual usno time clock.

Good luck.

Good luck.

Smart set clock dead ?

Sorry it took so long to reply to your problem. You must try to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must disconnect the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for about 3 hours. This should completely drain all the power from the microprocessor. After this is done, reinsert the internal battery and plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If they do not return to normal. Unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace the internal Battery (CR2430). Let the Clock/Radio again drain all the power from the microprocessor. Insert the new battery and Plug the Clock/Radio into the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio's functions should return to normal. If you should still be having problem with the functions of the Clock/Radio, you will need to call Emerson Customer Support. The telephone number for Emerson Customer Support is 1-800-909-1240. Call them between the hours of 8am-4:30pm CT.
