When I turn on unit, a message "overload" appears.

Check the speakers and the power supply for any signs of shorting.
This is due to the fact that the safety circuit works to switch off the set preventing a high damage.
So check the output for short or the presection .

hello there are 2 big capacitor behind the metal heatsink see if one has swelled up if so change them both then check the output chip to see if there are any dry joints then when you've check all and still the same then you may have to change the output transistor g ood luck

Overload at medium (4-6) volumes. Can you adjust or disable the overload protection on these Technics amps??

Overload signal

The overload is the same as protect mode. Remove the speaker wires and turn the unit back on. If the message remains, there is a problem internal to the unit in the final stage of the amp.

The overload message is the old version of "protect" mode. This means that a problem has been detected in the output amp section and that section is shutdown to prevent further damage. Your unit uses amp-pacs. One or more are bad. These are marked RSN3305P and cost about $66 each.

Receiver overload problem

The overload message is indicating that a problem was found and the system is shutting down the output section to prevent further damage. There are probably poor connections on the main board and failing capacitors in the front end. Expect a parts vcost in the $10 range. Add in the local labor rate for the total repair bill.

Overload on Technics SA DA10

Cracked solder joints due to excessive heat cycling. Do not place in a shelf system. Top MUST be open for 1 ft. or better for proper convective cooling effect. Mine suffered same fate but repaired locally.

short in ps or amps shorted. Look for burnt parts are bad caps
