SKY HD HELLO, could someone please help me. I am looking at getting sky hd and i have an LG rz32lz50. I have been looking on internet and seem to be getting conflicting information on whether this tv will work with sky hd, as i don't want to fork out the cash to find out that it won't work, will it work with a DVI to HDMI adaptor. thankyou for any help anyone can give

IT should work with Sky HD because the resolution is high enough at 1366x768.
Its HD Ready

Yes it will, you'll need a hdmi - dvi lead (maplins sells them) and a audio lead which is one red and one white connector one end and a 3.5 m jack on the other end.

Im a Sky Engineer (not a subby)
we carry DVI to Hdmi adaptors on are vans for such installs like yourself. I personnal have found no problem when installing this into customers homes.

Hope this sorts things out

    I work for Sky Direct not a Subbie.



    You can get a HD picture through a DVI to HDMI adaptor. I personally carry these adaptors on my Van. I order them through sky for nothing so As long as you dont get a subbie when you get your sky HD installed then they should have them on the van for you.



    Note: Does not cost you anything so dont be fooled into buying one of these off the installer.

We have a lg 47inch tv with led/lcd hd. do you have the codes to programe my sky+HD remote to use on the tv?
On your sky remote select interactive button, go too customer services and select option 5 , setting up sky remote, you should be able to find lg codes to try there. If not then try the internet for codes. You may have to wait though I didnt get my code for 6 months after getting new tv, but dont give up.

Could you please tell me if my LC-32GA5E tv can work with sky HD.The manual tells about switching to hd mode,but there seems to be no where to connect hd to the set.The tv is about 5 years old. thanks...
This is an HD ready TV and can definitely be used with Sky HD, but ONLY if the Sky box is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. It will not work if connected with a scart cable.

So you need 2 things. Firstly, you need to buy an HDMI cable (see picture) if you haven't already got one. Secondly you need to locate the HDMI sockets on your TV and Sky box. The sockets will have the HDMI logo (see picture) next to them.

On a LX2R to remove the green bar at the bottom or the blue bars on ths side using the sky HD box go to menu and the pip menu at the bottom of the list, access input and make sure the HDMI input is on DTV and NOT PC.

5.1 sound from Sky hd through LG TV
link your optical cable from your HD box to your surround sound.
Then if you go into your HD services menu, press 4 then go to sound make sure its set to Dobly D
That should sort your problem out
