Our TV has been splitting itself into three horizontal section with each section having its own vertical lines. Now today it blacked out on the right third of the screen for a brief moment, then displayed a left and right display with their own horizontal lines and one larger black line down the middle separating the two. We've also had times where the faces on people are green. Can I get a schematic for this tv and possibly fix it myself? If it simply means the replacement of a chip that controls the vertical sync. I know I can probably do that.

If the line is horizontal (it is a vertical problem) If its a Vertical line (it a horizontal problem) So it could be just a bad solder joint or a component has failed in the horizontal or vertical section. Hope this is helpful.
It needs repair. If the line is vertical, then something is damaged on its horizontal circuit section on the mainboard. If the line is horizontal, the vertical circuit section is damaged. have it repaired to a qualified service center or person! avoid switching it to avoid further damage on other parts!
Your TV is losing what is called vertical deflection. This might be caused by the vertical coupling capacitor going bad, or by the vertical deflection coil on the yoke transformer going bad. In any case there is not enough vertical deflection signal getting for the vertical output section of your TV to the vertical coils on the yoke transformer. I would suggest that you get this looked at by a qualified TV technician, due to the nature of this problem.
If the line is horizontal then it could be a problem in your vertical deflection section, if the line is vertical then the problem is in your horizontal deflection section. Now for a little more detail.
If Horizontal line is present the vertical section of the yoke transformer is nit responding to current flowing through it due to being open, or the vertical coupling capacitor is open, or even the vertical drive transistor might be defective.
If Vertical line is present the horizontal section of the yoke transformer might be bad. Now this gets kind is easy in a way, because the yoke would be the sole cause of your problem here (maybe there is some circuitry doing some horizontal coupling check that to) because the horizontal section controls other functions that would also respond if this were a horizontal drive issue. In any event these problems should be checked by a qualified TV technician, I would suggest that you take the TV to a repair shop to have it worked on.
hi there, is the single line horizontally or vertically? if horizontal line, you do have a vertical section problem, check some parts at vertical section, the vertical ic, the power source of vertical section ie diode & resistors. ty
now only visible in a thin horizontal line.
first of all you reduce brightness to monimum.
it just to protect your tv from crt demage.
your problem is in horizontal output section as you have mentioned that week or so ago the right and left bottom edges of the picture began to move in like a sideways triangle filled with black so this sympton is due to hor. section problem.
your flyback transformer or horizontal output might be defective.
but remember check for power supply is ok from
surge protector
hope this will help.
Clearly shows problem in deflection area both horizontal and vertical section. Horizontal lines is due to vertical section problem and making bbzzzz is due to horizontal output transistor short and sometimes LOT SHORT.
