Just use a regular tablespoon to measure coffee.
I usually use one tablespoon per 6 ounces water.
Because I like my coffee a little stronger, I
usually add one extra for the pot, no matter
how many cups I make. Works for me.

No filters needed... just dump the coffee on the top pan....

I like my coffee strong and use about 1 cup per 10 cups of water....you may want to adjust to your tastes...
We use one of those units at church... they are a great unit...there they use a bit less cause many don't like it quite that strong...like 3/4 cup per 10 cups....

Hi. normal is 2 scoops of coffee for 3 cups of coffee, then adjust from there for your taste. Good luck.

the traditional wisdom is one scoop per cup and one for the pot

All coffee should be as follows: 1 level tablespoon for each cup of coffee.
Try it and enjoy.

If the scoop is 1 tablespoon, use two scoops of ground coffee for every six ounces of water you are brewing.

If the scoop is 2 tablespoons, use one scoop per six ounces.

Also be sure your grind is proper for the type of filter you are using.

Here is the trick with the Cuisinart Grind n Brews - their proportion sizes are based on a 5 oz cup - most coffee cups are about 8 oz cups - so you really need to use more than they suggest, but here is their reccomendation:

We recommend you use 1 scoop of whole
beans per cup. Maximum 14 scoops.
For 1 or 2 cups, use 1-1/2 level scoops
per cup. Adjust the recipe according
to individual taste.

2 scoops for 12 cups, that would be 6 scoops

it says 4 tablespoons per cup, but I use a heaping coffee scoop.
