Polaroid TV has red power light but wont turn on.

When plugged in my Polaroid TV has the red power light but is unresponsive when I go to turn the TV on with both the side button and remote control. When I plug it in you can hear power going to the speakers. The DVD combo also hasn't worked since after month 7 but I am unconcerned with that. I've had the TV for two years.

After reading some other posts, I forgot to mention that I had plugged in my laptop via VGA hook up right before it would not turn back on...

Try plugging it into another outlet - one which you are certain is working. If that doesn't work, you might have a bad fuse inside your TV. If that isn't it, the power supply board may have failed.

Have someone inspect the power supply board for bad or puffed up caps--getting any parts or boards for this brand is not real easy.

Polaroid went off and wont come back on

hello,
Power supply board have problems,just not dead yet.Replaced the power supply board,will solved this problems.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Tv wont turn on, but have light on fornt of lcd tv? How do I get the power bac on? Has a red light. TV should have blue light when tv is turned on. The light stays red. Why wont it come back on with the...

You are only have 5v standby circuit working, the problem can be in the main control board (not sending signal to turn on the main power supply sections) or the main power supply sections are bad.
