I´ve a toshiba Satellite A215, I lost my recovery disk and I have to format the hard drive, how can I get the recovery disks.
Thanks, pals
As far as many of us know, you has to buy the recovery cd, but, instead of going to all the trouble, since you might has to either call or contact them via e-mil.
Since you already clean the system, why not go to the site and download all the drivers for your specific system, is very simple, and you get to load just the programs you need.
Drivers are a must, here is the direct link, choose download then choose your system > system model>"GO"
the next page would be all of your drivers, you can use your other system or a friend, put then on a flash drive or burn into cd.
Before you do any driver install, you should make sure you are connected to the internet, and do the windows update, as there should be new drivers for your system.
You should also do an "intel INF" update if not provided at the toshiba site, use google and downloaded it, make sure it applies to your system.
After you done the inf update and windows update, now you install all of the drivers and utilities that are available to you at the site.
sorry can't be of more help, below is the link to the site
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
If you are in the US call 1-800-457-7777
The cost is $24.95 which includes shipping.
Have the Exact full model number to give to them.
A215 is not the full number.
This is on the bottom of your laptop. (Examples would be A215-S4697, A215-S4717, A215-S4737, and so on)
The best way to get it is either u get it from the official website or call the manufacturer.
Thanks :-)
