Hello friend
You don't need Sony drivers if you are using Windows !!!!!
Go here to
Sony for your your cd player.
http://sony.storagesupport.com/product/180
Click on the 'Dos Drivers' and read the words from there ....'
NOTE: Windows operating systems have built in drivers to support your Sony CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM drive as a CD-ROM reader. No additional drivers are normally required once Windows is installed and running. However, you will need additional software to make use of CD Writing and DVD Video playback if your drive supports these functions.'
I suggest you re-install Windows XP from installation disks. after backing up your personal files which you will lose.
You mentioned 'driver booster' Yes
ONLY ONLY ONLY EVER download drivers from , the Manufacturers site . Sony in this case,
There are lots of rubbish sites offering drivers this and drivers that.
THEY ARE ALL RUBBISH !!!!!!! DON'T EVER EVER USE THEM
I cannot stress it enough tell your friends, tell everybody.
As I say , connect up your cd player and then re-install windows xp or whatever Windows version you have. Windows will automatically install its OWN drivers for your player.
Better still friend... buy a more up-to -date dvd r/w combi.player They are really cheap these days.
I also am not positive that I have the connections in the back hooked up right
installing the Sony CRX300a DVD into the actual computer and finding a driver. The computer is stating that the driver is corrupt. I put a CD into it and the computer is not getting a signal
What are you looking for help with? The actual installation, or location of a driver? Any CD/DVD drive should work natively and not need drivers installed.
