I have desktop C2480 emachines with AMD athlon XP. The problem is when i turn on the CPU the leds never on. I opened the CPU and i saw the 3 connectors from the mother board disconnected thats 3 pair of cables coming from in front panel thats cables have a label Green Cable "power Led", Red Cable H.D.D. Led, Black Cable "Power SW".

if you want to reset bios password then you need to open the cpu case. take out the motherboard (small steel colour round shape) battery for 10 sec and put it back. this will solve.
