Just bought a canon rebel and nothing will come up on the lcd screen

hi there, have you pressed the DISP button (see red line above) or REVIEW button (blue line) yet??
if there`s still nothing appear on the LCD, i assume the LCD connector from the body is broken
you can claim it to be repaired to the store you bought it from, since the warranty still valid

The Digital Rebel XTi doesn't have 'live view' mode, you can't see what you're taking a picture of before you take the picture.

What you have told is right then - why did you buy it?
There is nothing for you to do- but to find a repairer
I dont think there is much hope -as wth all small electronics they are not made to be repaired.

There is no live preview mode on this camera. I am not sure if that is what you are referring to, but you can only use LCD for review and menu, not as a viewfinder.

The new Rebel XSi is the only one in the rebel series with this new feature.
