Just take it on a nice long drive about 20 minutes long three seperate times giving it a chance to cool down in between drives (takes about an hour to cool). It could take as many as three nice long drives known as a DRIVE CYCLE. Its when all the systems that the computer controls have a chance to reach the temperature they operate at and tell the computer that they are in fact working.(the oxygen sensor in the exaust pipe needs to reach 600 degrees before it turns on) sometimes the computer needs to see that its working 3 CONSECUTIVE times in order to give it the "ok". hope this helps. -J

Sometimes a few days, starting and running it a few times a day. It could take a week or more. It depends on how many driving cycles and miles. You should run it long enough each time for it to reach full operating temp.

How to disconnect anti theft

It is hard to give a definite answer because I don't know which and how many wires were damaged...Anti theft can be a real HEADACHE.....You can begin by disconnecting battery cables..Use your VIN number for parts,Get new ignition with a programmed factory key from dealer only.....They probably blew certain fuses and or relays when this happened...Or maybe not..Install new ignition connect battery cables..,turn switch on just to check for bad fuses and relays...Disconnect battery again...replace any fuses blown...Connect battery again...( Each time you disconnect battery it resets the computer system and should clear anti theft codes..)..make sure all doors are unlocked by using door remote key fob....Now see if vehicle will crank..If all is done correctly it should start...However I don't know how much damage was done.....It may possibly be too much work to totally disengage anti theft....You could start with removing all fuses and relays related to anti theft but disconnect battery before...I DO NOT RECOMMEND trying to disable the theft system.....You may create more headaches that you want.......Begin by trying what I described just to be safe...!!....

What would mke my instrament panel flash all lights and make my speed omeder go way over to 120 and then back again while driving down the road

Sometimes able Battery can cause this.It would be a good idea to have system scanned for fault codes..If not,..First check battery voltage for no less than 12.40 to 12.60...disconnect battery to check for proper battery voltage....Disconnecting the battery will reset the vehicle computer system which may solve your problem however it is rare for your issue.....If nothing solves your problem you need an instrument cluster which attaches to the inside and connects behind the gauges...

How do I reset computer on 2005 Cadillac cts

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then go inside your car and press the break pedal for 30 seconds. That should drain the extra power and reset your computer.

How to replace starter on audiA6 1.8 petrol 2001 C5

If I understand it correctly, you are talking about the starter motor replacement. In that case here it is how you can do it. Hope this helps.
1) Remove the feed to the battery & remove the driver side (right hand drive) road wheel.
2) Remove the shroud around the drive shaft (held on with 3 Allen bolts)
3) Remove the two bolts holding the starter motor
4) From under the caricon1.png (once the underbody tray is removed) you can get your hand in to undo the support bracket and the two nuts holding the electrical connection. this is quite hard as the top nut is hard to get to. but because you have already undone the other retaining bolts you should be able to turn the motor to some degree.
5) Once all undone, a few grazed knuckles later an you should be able to wiggle/push/pull the starter motor out of the bell housingicon1.png.
6) you should now be able to slide this out through the wheel as the area is just big enough (with the drive shaft shroud removed) to do so.
7) In true Haynes manualstyleicon1.png - refitting is the reversal of removal - except be patient when trying to do up the electrical connections.

2002 nissan sentra lightis on needed fuel level sensor put it in light came back on with same code

Go to a near autozone/o reilly and ask them to hook up the scanner to your car's computer and clear the code. You can also try disconnecting the battery for about 15mins and connecting it back again (all your settings in you stereo or trip computer could be reset). This will reset the computer and erase the code and the computer is going have to learn everything again. If after trying any of these option and driving the car for a while the code comes back it will required further inspection.

How do we change the battery

Battery is located in the boot compartment underneath the floor next to the spare tyre. A socket wrench will be needed to undo the 2 10mm bolts on the connection terminals - Nb disconnect the black/negative/earth side first to prevent danger when disconnecting the red/positive/live side. The securing plate is held in place with either a 15mm or 16mm bolt and once you have undone this the battery is easily removed and replaced.
