GE Advantium 120 oven: Was boiling water and oven completely powered off. House circuit breaker is OK and not tripped. Plugged into another working outlet with extension cord to see if display came on. It did not. I'm thinking there might also be a internal fuse? Pulled plug as per owners manual for power surge and nothing happened.

You will need to remove the top grill vent first, then you can remove the screws coming in from the top of the grille vent then that will expose a screw holding down the control panel at the top. Remove the screw and remove the control panel. The fuse is located in a little 1" fuse holder just behind the front panel near the top.

If it took power out to your whole house you have a direct short in the unit, most likely place is the cavity tco mounted and the top of the cavity left side. I have had the connectors burn off and short to the casing

How do you reset the microwave power? Is there an external circuit breaker if the main house circuit breaker did not switch off?

There is an internal cartridge fuse, as well as thermal fuses. It is not recommended that you attempt any internal repairs on a microwave due to the presence of very high voltages and the danger of microwave radiation if not reassembled correctly. Residential microwaves, if not under warrranty, are generally considered disposable. Parts and service are very expensive.

ALL POWER LOST

I am not sure I can solve your problem or perhaps you have already solved your problem. My thought is "are you sure your circuit Breakers are OK"??? In order to re-set a tripped circuit breaker you have to first turn them all the way off, then re-set them to 'on'. If you did not do that they probably did not re-set.

Assuming you did that correctly then I would have to suggest you contact [email protected]. He/they might know of a internal fuse or other problem the may help you. Good luck.
