S/w upgrade LG Banter phone has message on screen "S/W Upgrade - Cannot answer call during S/W upgrade" for nearly 16 hours. We can't get it to clear or cancel.
Its because somewhere along the way ur phone has gotten moisture inside of it. Remove the battery for a few hours and when you put it back in it should work properly again.

You can upgrade your Safelink phone by purchasing a new/different model,
call Safelink but tell them you bought the same original phone you
started with and half the time theyll do it. Do not tell them that you
upgraded and if a foregin CSR answeres the phone ie,Indian hang up and
call again in 2 hour intervals until you get an American SCR.I have
never failed to upgrade my Safelink devices. Good Luck....

You have committed a blunder by falling for the upgrade. You have probably not heard the American saying "Dont fix a thing unless its broke." If your phone was working alright where was the need to upgrade it.
Anyway, now that the damage has been done, take the phone to LG service centre and get the firmware reinstalled. that is the only answer.

I was just upgrading the Nokia software on my E65, connected with USB, charged and connected to charger for backup... and the phone just went dead. I've tried everything to get it going again including taking the batery out and outting it back in aain, holding the on/off button down for a minute - and nothing is happening. The screen is dead. Is Nokia's new upgrade causing this? I see two other posts to this site with the same problem in the past 24 hours. The upgrade was posted on Nokia.com 24 hours ago. my mail is [email protected]
this pblm can be solved by resetting d mobile in master clear option. after resetting power off d mobile and on after 5 min,and connect to the net upgrade ur os, b4 upgrading remove memory stick and upgrade , this will be solved....
