How to connect Hitachi camcoder with laptop

Connecting to PC via PC Connection Cable
Use the provided PC connection cable to connect the DVD video camera/recorder to PC as shown in the last.

Note:
• No data can be written to the HDD, disc or SD memory card in this DVD video camera/recorder when it is connected to PC.
• The PC connection cable does not supply power to the DVD video camera/recorder: Use the AC adapter/charger
to power the DVD video camera/recorder.
• Before connecting the DVD video camera/recorder to PC, disconnect any cables or camera accessories (external
video flash, external microphone, etc.) other than the PC connection cable and AC adapter/charger.
• When connecting the DVD video camera/recorder to PC, the ACCESS/PC indicator will light green. While HDD or
a disc is being accessed, the indicator will light or blink orange. While an SD memory card is being accessed, the
CARD ACCESS indicator will light or blink red.

If you connect the DVD video camera/recorder to PC via PC connection cable, the PC will automatically recognise the DVD video camera/recorder. After recognition is finished, it may be
prompted to restart the PC: In this case, follow the instruction and restart the PC.

It won't start up. We put it to the charger and the green light blinks. Is it charging?

Welcome to FixYa.

If the charge lamp blinks slowly (green)
-battery is charging.
If the light is off
- battery is not charging.
- Also whe charging is complete, the charge lamp stops blinking and turns off.
If the charge lamp flikers (green)
- the ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Cganhe the battery indoors with an ambient temperature of 5C to 35C (41F to 95F)
- The USB cable or charging AC adapter is not properly connected, or there is a problem with the battery. Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging C adapter and correctly connect it again, or chage the battery.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

NOTES
• When the USB cable is connected, turning on or off the camera causes malfunctions of the PC.

• Connect the camera directly to the PC, not through the hub.

• Do not use an extension USB cable.

• Saving the wrong kinds of files in a recording medium or deleting files or folders from a recording medium can cause problems with the operation of the camera. When it is necessary to delete a file from a recording medium, delete it through the camera. Also, do not move or rename folders and files in the medium on PC.

• Never disconnect the USB cable while the access/charge lamp on the camera lights or blinks.

1 Create a folder to back up files into.

When you have finished operation

Always follow the procedures below when disconnecting the camera, or turning off the camera/computer power.
Failing to do so may cause damage to the camera and computer.

1) Confirm that the access/charge lamp on the camera does not light or blink. (If the access/charge lamp lights or blinks, wait until it is turned off before proceeding.)

2) Double-click the [Safely Remove Hardware] or [Unplug or Eject Hardware] icon in the status bar.

3) Select [USB Mass Storage Device] or
[USB Disk], and then click [Stop].

4) Click [OK].

5) Disconnect the USB cable.

6) Turn off the camera and PC.

JVC EVERIO gz-mg330 does not appear as drive

Another solution is to make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the camera. For some reason, if I use any other, the computer won't recognize the camera. It's the one with the magnet. In fact, mine has two magnets on it.
